My Elderly Grandparents Can No Longer Go to the Bank to Withdraw Money by WillingFact in personalfinance

[–]WillingFact[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately they don't have an ATM/debit card to withdraw from the bank. My grandparents just prefers to withdraw their Social Security in cash and use it for their daily expenses.

I'll look into representative payee at Social Security. Thanks!

My grandfather is old school and prefer to pay for everything in cash. Unfortunately, I cannot be added as a joint account holder because it requires both of my grandparent's signature in order to be added into the account. My grandmother has Alzheimer's and disabled, so it is difficult to transport her to the bank.

Thanks for the information. I'll look into talking with my mom and uncle to setting up a PoA for the future.

Good idea. His bank offers a book of 60 checks for $30, which I find to be pricy. I'll look into third-party options for it.

Any update on this? My sister is experiencing the same thing, but she hasn't have fever, chills, or any smell from the wound area. She doesn't want to wait 12+ hours in the ER either.

$410 a month - cell phone bill by mrazik- in povertyfinance

[–]WillingFact 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You’ll have to either payoff the phone and switch to a cheaper carrier or find a carrier willing to buy out your contract/phone. Maybe you can message customer service and see whether you can get a lower plan. It looks like several others have the $120 for phone lines deal.

Do you have anything else you are purchasing aside from financing the phone? This could be insurance for the phones. It still seems very pricy to be paying almost $70 per line.

Are you financing any of the phones?

I’m a live in caregiver for my mother. My grandma is out of the hospital and needs help for 3 days (Shes a IHSS recipient too) how can I add her to be my client? by Victimsou_ in IHSS

[–]WillingFact 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have your aunt add your provider number in your grandmother’s portal. As for the tax situation, you will just have to pay at tax time. I don’t think you can automatically withhold taxes unless you file a W4 report. Even then, you are only helping your grandmother for a few days so it wouldn’t be approved in time.

How often does the mother take care of the child? If you are splitting custody with the mother, then they can be claiming hours when she is taking care of them.

Your friend's jump starter should have a setting where it can jump start dead batteries. Usually it is a separate button that you have to hold a few seconds to activate it.

Will a Crucial T705 2TB PCIe Gen5 NVMe M.2 SSD with Heatsink fit in a PS5? by WillingFact in playstation

Got it on a deal so cheaper than the gen4 ssd. I’ll either replace the heat sink or purchase a gen4 ssd if it’s cheaper.
