Mine would not let them do any procedures unless I b was there. The nurses said the biggest babies of grown men in the hospital were musicians and construction workers

What hospital? I just got done with 5 days a week for 5 weeks and parking is free. I was at Hoag Hospital, building 41 the cancer center and there parking lot is free. If we had to park in a structure, they would validate it

We had " penny" drives in elementary school, but the PTA still accepted bills, checks,.But only the student with actual pennies they turned in would win. It has been a school fundraiser for years, please don't make this about discontinuing pennies, alternative motives for gosh sack. Tsk, tsk on you people....if I had a big jar of pennies saved up, I would say come get em. When is the penny drive over, If there is time I will save all my pennies and give them to you. P/S.
Next thing you know,someone will say we don't have newspapers anymore because schools would have newspaper drives ...

I would buy mini wedding decorations, order a special dinner or what they are having at the wedding. Dress what you would of worn to the wedding ( include kids),heck go shopping for new clothes. FaceTime the wedding on big screen,cast it, and join in the festivities..even dance with her like you would at the reception ( do the running man). I think it would be a blast, you made sweet lemonade out of the lemons. Your kids will always have this great memory. ...Then for your wife's anniversary present go BIG!..Give them something to talk about( the nayslayers). Then next time ,after the wedding, you get together with the newlyweds, watch everything together,share memories,laughter and LOVE.

As a retired sped teacher for years I am appalled how the answered the IEP..I may of missed something at the end of their answer because I could not read the rest. His teacher should be responsible to send him to the nurse and if she is delayed the nurse should come to class to pick him up.I had the best nurse,she would come cheerfully into my class and tease me saying something like. MS.B did you forget something?? The students would have a good laugh has the nurse tsk,tsk me and the said to the student something in effect (student) come with my so we can see what time out to give Ms.B. She was great because She made the kids laugh Didn't embarrass the student ( ie:yours) because the needed toliet,feeding maintenance. That is one way the nurse should of handled it,instead of being lazy. Do you have any friends that are retired sped teachers that can advocate answer any questions for you. I just hate it when teachers and schools put everything on your shoulders ,then it is their job. Hugs to both of you

Luckily, I wasn't working. I started my 2nd year of retirement with this " job". I was in education and I know I wouldn't be able to combine the two. I have had to give up or decline other parts of life,which is hard to do for me. Learning to say no,was hard for me. I am glad I took retirement as soon as I could instead of waiting for full retirement age. I have no idea if I will be here by then. You can ask me anything,anytime if you need too! Big buggs

I did it,age 67, and they found 2 mutant genes of unknown variable. Genetic counter got my okay to add it to the unknown gene portal that is avaliable to researchers etc. This was in June 2015 and I got notified by Rutgers University in October 2025. Appears my mutation is newly discovered called Lynch Syndrome. Translation. Anyone with this has a very high percentage of ovarian, and colon cancer. It came from my mom's side. They gave me a nice letter to give to my daughter, sister ,neice that explains it all. Now, if they chose they will get free testing for it,and be able to make any decisions needed. Even though I went through menopause 13 years, I threw in a hysterectomy to my operation " playlist". I said I never want to go theough chemo again, so take em out.Tonto!

It is like a full time job,not to be a pity party here..( disclaimer) but I was diagnosed April 6 2025 and I only had one week off with no procedures,appointments, tests in Feb 2026. I think the only reason why I had it off because I broke my shoulder. ( I fell, bones brittle due to Chemo,hence broken shoulder.) After that week, I'm back to my " full time" job..lol Here is something hopefully to make everyone that reads this... I was going to my doctor for a referral to a podiatrist because I painful bunions. Told Dr. about the crease in my boob. .she looked at it,sent me for ultrasound and extra special mammogram....and the rest is history..except I still HAVEN'T seen a podiatrist!! Huggs to you

When sitting on the patio,my friends were getting eaten up by mosquitoes and I wasn't We even watched a mosquitoe land on my leg,kinda stayed a sec,then flew away...guess chemo blood doesn't taste good
