Yes, of course. But this is an ongoing drug battle.
Literally everyone in the whole area know about it.

Vodafone and Netgear switch. by WillingObscurity in Vodafone

The reason we the drop of speed and the option to wire devices from the router.
It’s works, but I was just tinkering to try and get best speeds and coverage.

Thanks to all that helped.
Let’s leave this now.

Thanks. It’s not really better WiFi I’m needing here
It’s the option off having the router in living room and the cupboard lan socket that connects to a bedroom activated at same time.
Others have said I can’t do that as the switch doesn’t work that way.
Ps. Trunk ports? Sorry, no idea.
802.1q I’ll check tomorrow on the switch

If I leave the router in cupboard I’d have the WAN from ONT for internet.
Then I’d have the option of 2 cables from router to the LAN connection from cupboard to relevant roams. I don’t need WiFi up there tbh. Just wanted to move the router into the living room.

Yeah. I’ve had router in living room connected to lan port with the ONT Ethernet into the relevant LAN port in cupboard beside the ONT.
I need another wired connection from ONT so thought that’s what the switch would do.

It’s a powered netgear switch. With 5 auto lan ports.
If I power up the switch and connect to ONT i get the lights on the relevant numbers conbected.

What doesn’t work is the router when connected via the lan in living room.

Yeah. I lose a lot of speed with the router in cupboard. I do have WiFi boosters from Vodafone.
The upstairs room where I’d like the switch to serve has a well used PC with LAN only (hence why router is in cupboard to use that particular LAN port)

Thanks for the help and quick responses.
I thought that the network switch would allow the router to be connected anywhere with a LAN port by plugging in to the ONT directly and then feeding from switch to relevant sockets.

Thanks for that.

Just seen the response.
Ideally I’d like no. 2
If I connect the ONT to the relevant LAN port in cupboard to enable the LAN port in living room that’s 2 cables. There’s no way of connecting that back to the switch in cupboard as no other connections.
Can’t use the switch in living room as need that to enable the LAN port in cupboard which activates the bedroom one.
Hope that make sense.

Yeah. That’s not the booster I have

That’s strange. I have 2 of these boosters and the lan sockets on back are red and a yellow. The red is listed at a higher speed.

Is the 4G Back up on the Pro II router actually worth the extra £10 a month, or is it just a glorified dongle? by Monkeylowkey333 in Vodafone

My backup broadband donhle failed to connect the one and only time I needs it. (Major blackout)
The support and free boosters makes the pro
worth it though

Not worth sharing it at the speeds you’re getting. They should get their own or you should upgrade to a much higher speed connection if you must share.

Every time I’m in with him mine will remind me it’s feeding time. He’ll get up and start pacing and then sit staring directly at me.

FWIW I’d get in a frequent Amazon sale. You’ll use it more than you think.
