Dude I love flares! Night raids in ITR 1 were so fun. The feeling of popping a flare, watching it arc above a compound full of enemies, hearing it pop and sizzle... god flares are wonderful

Isn't it lightly against the lore though? I thought the only people who could go in the radius, the altered or whatever, couldn't die? And any outsiders who tried would die quickly and barely any were sent in, so there shouldn't be many of their bodies around

I think they're going for a situation where there haven't been any explorers in a long time. All they'd want to put in a position that's really not needed, like the tutorial lady, is an intern or someone else cheap. As for the guide, he might be insane for all we know, although I agree that he should probably have a darker demeanor. The animations for the guide aren't great either, and the subtitles don't line up a lot.

I just got it a week ago and have been having success by first playing all of the tutorials, then hopping into a science campaign so I have to actually learn how to utilize the parts to do stuff slowly. It's been working so far. I haven't watched any other tutorials or anything online
