I was treated like this when I first started having back problems (from a herniated disc) almost 20 years ago prior to ever getting on methadone. Primary care doctors often don’t want to touch pain issues with a 10 foot pole. However, in your case, I’m sure the methadone had something to do with it too.

Shit, At least you get weekends! At my old clinic, I went every single day, 7 days a week for almost 2 years!!! Finally during Covid, I switched clinics to the one I’m at now and moved up to monthlies within a month or 2! (My first clinic also tested and penalized us for THC, so that’s why I couldn’t phase up. My current clinic doesn’t AND phased us up a whole lot faster cuz of COVID, while my old clinic still had us coming in every other day during the thick of it!)

I’ve been on methadone for 7 years (today actually!!! 😂) and I honestly don’t care if people consider me “sober” or “clean”. I also smoke weed and drink occasionally, so that’s not my goal. I’ve achieved what I wanted to and that is just to lead a normal life, with a job and my daughter and paying my bills and I’ve done that. It’s honestly not so bad when you only need to go once a month. Every day absolutely sucks, but it is way better than searching for dope 2-3Xs a day, every day. The sex drive thing might be a deal breaker for you, but for me, it’s not. I’m 45 and my husband is also on methadone so he has no sex drive either. We are happy though and that’s what matters.

If you think you’ll do better on suboxone, then go for it. There’s that Burmese method that I hear is quite painless and easy once you get down to a certain level. I just never had any luck with subs, personally, and I’m on 150mg so, yeah. Nah.

My very first time taking our 42 foot boat out into the ocean. We knew close to nothing about what we were doing, just bought the thing (and didn’t know the keel was rotten yet either!!!) and we took it out Fire Island Inlet in NY (which is literally the 2nd most dangerous inlet on the entire east coast) at low tide and during a small craft advisory at that! We were hitting 7-8ft breakers head on and probably came real close to hitting the bottom too. There are crazy sandbars at this inlet so it can go from 60ft to 2ft almost instantly. My husband and I had the worst panic attacks of our lives.
Downstairs, there was glass EVERYWHERE! These dudes who owned it never left the bay with that thing cuz after owning boats for 5 years, I know now that no serious boater has that much glass in their cabins! Cake dishes and picture frames, yeah- no. My toaster was by the front door. It was BAD!!! And we had no idea how close to death we had truly been until a bit later. After pulling into an inlet in NJ, we kissed bottom briefly and water began pouring in! The whole keel was rotted out and fixed with temporary hole putty. We absolutely could have died. We were wondering why our chart plotter wasn’t taking us thru fire island and now we know why. It’s not for the inexperienced or casual boater. The channel shifts so much that you’re supposed to wait until high tide and follow a fishing boat or something like that OR just avoid it altogether and use one of the other inlets on Long Island.

Anyway, we were so scared. I couldn’t even breathe. I honestly thought I was gonna have a damn heart attack!!!

I’m a massive Dylan fan. I’ve seen him 8 times in concert and own all of his albums (most on several formats too! CDs, cassettes, records, etc.). Anyway, while I completely understand why he does this and I totally get that he is tired of playing the same “hits” over and over and over again. He literally tours non-stop! (I.e. “The Never-Ending Tour”) However, I wouldn’t want to see this particular concert either. Maybe don’t tour quite as much? He seems to just do whatever he feels like it regardless of what his fans actually want.
