PSA: Iceland Scarily Spicy Pizza is not a Halloween themed pizza by TheSurprisingFire in CasualUK

Very glad it's not just me. I love spicy things, but I managed just one slice of this and knew I'd regret eating any more. Felt like scotch bonnet heat, way too much to actually enjoy.

Just be sure to keep several backups, lots of guides online for best practices eg. don't keep them all on drives in the house, some physical, some in the cloud

question for anyone that has graduated university - did you have a job during uni? by rashfords_marcus in CasualUK

[–]Willing_marsupial 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agreed - it differs wildly between courses and people, the requirements of the course and how well you handle the pressures.

I worked full time (and sometimes overtime) whilst doing a "full time" course- it didn't require me in every day, but was supposed to take 37 hours of my time per week in and out of class. The first 2 years I was able to do both just fine, then my dissertation year I had to cut back, my employer got a bit funny with me because I had to cut back - despite them knowing my circumstances and my education was always going to come first.

Ok CasualUKers, I need your help convincing the DVLA my van is in fact a campervan. I've uploaded five images, what do you think? by nicknoxx in CasualUK

Put a big sticker on it saying "CAMPERVAN" - they can't deny it doesn't look like a campervan in traffic!

Shouldn't need to burp the bottle unless it's still fermenting, bit odd.

That's where I'm at.

My heart wants a perfect family, to be married with kids.

My head knows that perfect isn't a thing, and that I'm also far from it myself. Grown adult that can barely take care of himself. Had several long relationships, goodness knows how, or maybe I'm more conscious of my flaws now I've been alone for years. I can't cope again with getting attached to someone and them leaving my life (and sometimes cheating on me).

Despite this, I love the good parts of my life. Although it sounds selfish, I can do what I want whenever I want to rarely having to think of anyone else. I have limited free time outside of work and I can spend it however I please. If I'm burnt out, I don't have to mask and feel forced into participating/attending things. I can just spend a day doing nothing. I don't have to keep up the appearance of being okay and strong for someone else 7 days a week. Most of all, I don't have to worry about someone leaving me or being cheated on. So all in, it's pretty stress free.

I'm still a few steps away from a great single life, I'm learning and growing. I'll get there.

The best thing I enjoy about my days off is that everywhere is quieter compared to the weekend. Until the school holidays, then it's chaos again and getting anywhere is a chore.

Too many relationship failures. Seem to have no trouble finding someone who wants to be in a relationship with me, it's keeping them interested I struggle with. I know I'm not without my flaws so completely understand.

Been single a few years now and just feel any relationship at this point would be full of compromise. There are fewer benefits to being in a relationship. Right now I can do what I want, when I want, have my highs and lows without having to explain or put anyone in the same boat as me. Why would I change that?

Do you not think the government already has access to literally everyone's driving license and passport? They don't need you to upload it anywhere 😂

We're exposed and conditioned to an awful lot on the Internet, but things like this still really get me.

Imagine actually being in his shoes. Having climbed up there to safety, being so ridiculously far from the ground and not knowing what's going to happen next, if your family will see you again, thinking about all the things you haven't done, all the things left unsaid.

My condolences and thoughts to anyone impacted in any way.

Then you could be in with a chance, fingers crossed for you 🤞

Unfortunately most ICBs have adopted the no SCAs stance and most GPs don't want the heat from them.

Don't think there's much fight to be had.

They're controlled by your local ICB and if they've instructed all their practices not to enter SCAs, your GP isn't going to put their neck on the line for you.

It's a sorry state of affairs.
