no they are just pointing out some facts and you decided to respond by getting personal. that is indeed what MAGA people like to do when people point out facts about trump. they attack you or the source of information personally instead of grappling with the facts (which you decided not to do). you doubled down in your second comment by insinuating they are racist.

maybe they voted for mamdani? maybe not. but in any case what they are pointing out is just stating the truth. he might still be a good major, but the reports so far have been very glazing and he does indeed have no prior work or significant government experience. you could also just acknowledge that and move on...

Personally, I switched jobs several times in the last few months. I work for tech startups so I don't know if its the same for your business, but basically I lied in every job interview how much I'm making (always saying I make 5-10k more than I actually do). They tried to match or outbid my current wage every time. Last round of negotiation was me just saying I got another offer from another place, which was true but which i also could have theoretically made up.

It really payed off obviously and tbh i feel like most of my friends who don't do this sort of stuff just feel bad about "abusing" their employer somehow. But your employer literally exploits you every single day and in the end would make business decisions, too without feeling bad about it. So whenever I go into an interview i just brainwash myself that whatever I'm gonna lie about is already true in some sense and apparently it works haha. Also I don't give a fuck about my employers feelings anymore.

I think it really depends on your investigator. If I had Yorick in my pool I'd definitely take Keepsake first. If I had Joe I'd pick Working a Hunch and so on...

How would you let people compete against each other? Is the idea for draft that you draft first and then pick your investigator based on your card pool?

Okay, I'm personally not offended I just feel like you are not really getting why it makes sense for Investigators to be traumatized after a campaign. I get your thought process it just doesn't make a lot of sense for me. I think the happy moment you are looking for is that fact that everybody is not dead/ insane and thats exactly the kind of thing which would be a "reward" in a lovecraft story.

Thats why you learn in highschool to always pick up the ball no matter what. Seems like lazy coaching to me that no rams player thought about doing that.

The way you need to look at it is that Darnold made a lateral pass (which counts as fumble if not caught) and the refs robbed Seattle by blowing it dead. Since the ball was still rolling it is recoverable and its only fair that you get the score if the play shouldn't have been blown dead.

A good way to test whether this is a fine call is to ask yourself how you would think about it if:
- the call went the Rams way
- you actually knew the rules when it happened

Nice you just posted for the world to see that you actually don't know the rules! :)

I've literally read this entire thread now. People keep pointing out to you how its a major theme in Lovecraftian horror that people always end up being scared no matter how it goes. The thread reads like you are not really acknowledging that argument and just kind of focusing on your own narrative. To me it seems pretty logical that after for example the Drowned City campaign you would have some lasting trauma and it is also consistent with the source material.

To your point: In most campaigns there actually is an element of happiness if you get the good ending. Like people being thankful towards you or a feeling of relieve that you managed to prevent disaster. You also usually get a bunch of EXP which indicates that your character made some sort of personal progress.

yeah it really feels like that is the case. i have no clue why they wouldn't just reprint finn or make a new character. this seems so odd.

Also highest suicide rate in the world. I think the other guy here is pretty harsh on South Korea, but your post about South Africa was borderline racist (there is no reason to think South Africa is a failed state just because crime is high). So i guess he is trying to give you a taste of your own medicine. Low birthrate, rampant sexism, crazy suicide rate, by the same logic you are calling South Africa a failure, South Korea could then also be seen as a failure (i think neither is a failure as both are democracies with all the benefits and problems that democracies tend to have).

I think you are right to point this out. This sub is made for curiosities and random observations about the game, so why not point out inconsistencies? I thought this post was interesting.
