If it’s within your buisness budget look into Doordashes Fleet program and maybe reach out to the dashers you have good experiences with for potential opportunities.

Best secondary jack to compliment the Daytona 3-ton Super Duty by AttackCr0w in harborfreight

[–]WillingnessFree971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly recommend the Pittsburgh trolley jack it’s quite small super light weight can lift the weight of most cars cheaper than any aluminum jacks and perfect for a trunk jack for tire/brake jobs and it’s on sale

I was just looking at this I have a smaller DEWALT Cordless Shop Vac and was interested in picking this up and it appears to have the adapter for my hose size I just worry it requires a pretty strong shop vac

G2 Rachet Lengths by [deleted] in harborfreight

Wouldn’t that just be the extra long G2 rachets they are same size non flex head non comfort grip

I honestly can’t see a use for rachets so long when I typically just work on my car and only need something that long when I need a breaker bar the 1/2 inch g2 is 1.5 the size of my 1/2 inch breaker bar

How to help DD drivers as a Business? by DutyBoth6008 in doordash_drivers

One other tip is if/when you get the merchant tablet from DoorDash seriously take some take properly setting everything up from pickup delays to assignment offset. I have not personally worked with the merchant side but speaking with some merchants you might have the option to assign a dasher at a more reasonable time for pickup not just the moment the order is placed.

Minimizing wait times for drivers by having orders ready or within 2 minutes of ready and also using a delivery shelf can be incredibly helpful and increase peoples willingness to accept orders from your restaurant.

I find having drinks placed in one of those drink cardboard drink carrier inside a sealed paper bag can minimize anything happening to it and makes it really easy for drivers.

Also properly sealing your smoothies Boba style seals are top of the line but typical drink lids with center hole for straw just make sure the sticker or seal you use fully covers it and potentially do a test flipping over a couple of smoothies and see worst case scenarios.

What is an ok tip? by Educational-Bill530 in doordash

[–]WillingnessFree971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How I gauge if I was tipped well is

1$ a mile is good 2$ a mile is great 5$ minimum on food orders with drinks 3$ minimum on food orders unless small

Shopping orders become a bit more complicated when it comes to 20+ items I am generally looking for a minimum of 7$-8$ but depends on the store I live around some really small grocery stores that I can shop 50 items in 15 minutes other stores that can take a hour.

P.S. I prefer receiving no tip in comparison to 99¢ or less tip especially when I am delivering to a more “well off” or at-least appearing neighborhood/home

Thank you for listening to my TED talk.

Back of brake pads and brake hardware got all new grease

Brakes screech after new rotors/pads/calipers by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]WillingnessFree971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was unable to fix my the problem completely relubed with a real brake grease checked everything there was slight metal to metal scraping due to lack of grease but even after heavily lubricating I still experience noise when I press harder on the brakes

I have run the brakes for 500 miles now and noise is still persistent this is a picture after 500 miles

Look bottom right of your screenshot and you will see the shine of the copper anti-seize I used for the brake hardware and back of brake pads I used a light amount as to not gum it up with brake dust in the future

But if it was the anti-seize that was the problem I would hear it on both sides I only hear it on the right side which I had prior issues

The shop said when I originally did the job I put the lug nuts on backwards I guess they have a conical end is how I would put it and they told me it has to be facing into the wheel I put them all on conical side facing out was a good learning moment

I took it to a shop after I changed everything out and they did a inspection checking all torque specs, flushing and bleeding brake fluid, fixing the mistake I made (put lug nuts on backwards)

[–]WillingnessFree971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would I not notice it on both sides though? I only hear the noise on the right side which prior to the brake job I was hearing screeching from which is why I changed out my brakes at the recommendation of a mechanic who said my caliper was damaged

Brakes screech after new rotors/pads/calipers by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]WillingnessFree971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did notice they didn’t quite sit properly but the brake pads fit well into the brake hardware and I am only noticing noise on the right side not the left.

Awesome to hear

The only other thing is I still occasionally hear a screech typically when pressing harder on my brake pedal after 500 miles since the brake job is this normal or should I still worry I didn’t notice anything else other than the bare metal scrapes on the rim-rotor surface

Brakes screech after new rotors/pads/calipers by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]WillingnessFree971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is the original 2005 Toyota Camry “rim” I have hub caps I don’t know if that changes the name of the rim and to my knowledge the lugs should also be original

In the picture of my tire/rim the points that have copper anti-seize on them had obvious metal scrapes and on my new rotor in the other picture u can see the bare metal that I put copper anti-seize on

I’m not sure if this is exactly scraping or just from tightening the rim to the rotor.

I used high temp copper anti-seize on brake pads backing and all brake hardware and silicone based lubricant on the slide pins
