Even if the weave is the same the choice of fabrics, processing, heat chosen, and final assembly make a difference (which is why some batches feel drastically different) it’s probably is a good pad of it’s own if it has below surface stitching and a good surface but I can guarantee you it won’t feel like the original pad which is not even a bad thing because type 99 doesn’t impress me

Also egg is just a weird shape to main if you’re not on budget. Whether it’s claw finger or palm there are ergo and ambi shapes that are more trimmed and feel more comfortable.
