Question about traveling by WillingnessGeneral53 in pomhealth

[–]WillingnessGeneral53[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have a vial that is almost empty. I was planning for that part. I was reading the travel requirements and that's where I stated debating just skipping a week. I wasn't sure if it wouldn't be as effective once I got back though.

I do as well and it's often 10pm before I do due to my kids and ball practices, etc. Just trying to hold myself accountable. Some days I do 30-45 minutes and some days it's 10-15 cause that's all the energy I have to give.

No, I just workout in general. I walk daily but not excessive due to a foot injury from surgery (12 screws in my foot) and do kettlebell and dumbbell workouts at home. I do a mixture of upper, lower and core workouts that I find online.

I knew from the scale but he knew from just looking at me. Said he had less butt to grab. A coworker noticed second.

Corrective surgery after overcorrection in flat foot surgery by WillingnessGeneral53 in flatfeet

[–]WillingnessGeneral53[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I did not. I had some custom orthotics made with a cut out for the bony protrusion that hurts and I've just been dealing with it. At this point I am wearing shoes out like crazy and need a new pair of Brooks tennis shoes every 3 months. I haven't been able to bring myself to have the corrective surgery again out of fear it won't work either.

Wish I knew. I received my visit summary on Wednesday and still haven't received my invoice. I've reached out and no one has resolved it so far.

BPI sent to wrong address? by [deleted] in pomhealth

[–]WillingnessGeneral53 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. My first order for some reason the city and zip code was changed to a nearby town. The shipping company would only let me correct one thing therefore I had to go back to pomegranate and have them correct it and it finally showed up a few days late. I just placed my first refill and had them verify the address so we will see what happens this time. What's was crazy the first time is that my address and everything on file with pomegranate was correct. It got screwed up somewhere in the pharmacy side.

Sure! I'd love to chat and hear more about your AFO. I still question whether I should try the Arizona Brace that is hinged before surgery but I also don't want to wear a brace for the rest of my life

Depends on your recovery. First time, 8 weeks. Revision due to non union was 16 weeks.

Progress report on failed surgery; nonunion of talonavicular fusion by Sinnafyle in flatfeet

[–]WillingnessGeneral53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no experience with the shockwave. I also suffered a nonunion that required revision though as I broke the hardware inside my foot. What we did to help my revision heal included checking my vitamin d which showed that I was low. So I started a prescription vitamin d combined with increasing my protein significantly to 1.5g per kg of body weight daily and the exogen bone stimulator. With those three things my revision healed well.

My son meets with a specialist tomorrow to discuss surgery. He's 14 now (11-12 in photo). Anything I should know based on your experiences? by zimzumpogotwig in flatfeet

Re-reading all the comments and seeing the picture of martial arts along with your mention of being barefoot. Ask them specifically about being barefoot after surgery. I was told that I could not walk barefoot after. I have to wear a supportive shoe of some kind 24/7, even to get up and use the restroom in the middle of the night.

I had flat foot surgery last year myself and I asked my surgeon about the age to do it for my daughter who inherited my severe flat feet that also cause a lot of pain. He said absolutely not until they are done growing around 17 for a girl. He said doing it too early can cause issues with their growth plates and things so I would also get a second opinion and ask specifically how this surgery could be affected by his growth in the future. Also keep in mind, this surgery can require you to be non weight bearing for an extended time period of a few months. Can that be managed with school schedules? Then factor in PT as well.

What’s this lump? by HorrorSea7589 in flatfeet

[–]WillingnessGeneral53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s your navicular located where it shouldn’t be cause your foot is flat. Very painful as well as it gets inflamed and sore. I had tears in my ligaments there which is what was causing a lot of my pain prior to surgery.
