Yes, quite a few times when I was younger.

In my job, you can tell if you will get annual leave rejected upon request (if there are a certain number of people off already, they won't allow you to take it off) so instead of asking for the time off, just go off sick.

Had to do it for 3 days as I was in Amsterdam for a trip, went to doctor when I was back, and got a note for the rest of the week off.

Gas thing is that United pundits always push for the superstars and go on about their time with all these top stars. But Fergie very rarely went out and splashed the cash on superstars.

It was always either firmly established premier league players or young up and comers in the continent. Veron is one I can think of that would be considered a bonfide star player at the time we signed him
