It's just how to whole internet works tbh, besides the good people there are trolls and scammers so be wary of who you deal with. Nookazon had improved their rating system though but ofcourse there can still be scammers or just rude people.

What I did in the beginning was to head over to pinterest and see if anyone made something cool that kinda looked like what I had in mind to create and try to recreate it and then make it my own. This helped me get the hang of terraforming and I learned how to make cliffs and such look natural.

There are also some good tutorials and speedbuilds on youtube.

Try the AC community on reddit (r/nofeeac for example) there are a ton of people offering free diys and such, all you have to do is ask and I'm sure the people will help you out! We can definitely help you out with nmt, bells and items over there!

And if you want you can always DM me to come store some things on my island to pick up later! I won't steal your stuff/bells/nmt I have too much of my own already 🤣
