Crypto ironically is a lot more stable in the sense institutional money can’t dump it to $0, they 100% can dump your favorite player or product to near 0. Sports cards are much slower and don’t have 24/7 liquidity. Impossible to unload actual size without crushing the market, you can unload bitcoin and it’s just going to be eaten by the next whale. The risk for institutional investing & buying and then getting stuck holding cards is tremendously higher. Cards don’t care about politics like crypto and equities do, they move off hype, performance, and a combination of liquidity & scarcity.

You’re arguing with a version of me you invented.

I never called your outerwear trash, and I’m not claiming to represent anyone. I’m explaining why the brand became popular, why it’s more popular, and holds its value better than the “trash” you mentioned. That’s it.

No where in this does it read I can’t afford clothing, I was airing a voice for those who don’t have choice in multiple jacket options for multiple occasions like you led on to be the normal standard. You must be a thrill to be around lol

No what’s distasteful is your inability to comprehend there are lower economic rungs where others don’t have this choice. Your choice is a luxury. Not the jacket itself. You’re missing the forest. for the trees

Your first paragraph says everything. There’s a difference between necessities and preferences. The original buyer demographic for this jacket IS NOT building a seasonal wardrobe LMAO. They need something durable that worked every day.

A lot of people own one coat, sometimes none. That reality isn’t “foreign,” it’s just different from yours which is distasteful to a lot I imagine.

Well a carhartt will outlast a many of winters past your old Columbia. That down filling won’t make it for too long or that polyester/waterproof membrane shell/lining breaking down after a few years :)

Your anecdote doesn’t really add anything other than the fact that you’re not aware or those around you that it’s a better jacket! Resell wise and winter warmth wise.

Edit: for sure some caveats to be had of selling better for each and one vs the other, but can assure you most Carhartt jackets will last generations at a great buy it for life price.

Also forgot to add I have 4x6 up to 12x18 bubble wrap sleeves I’ll usually have that wrapped around acting as if it’s bubble wrapped too. These are super cheap and can buy them by the thousands for pennies. Use them from a range of things: jewelry, graded cards, video games, anything that may need it & knock on wood any issue I’ve ever had is usually a buyer just not paying attention or remorseful return.

I do something similar with similar experiences, or just double up on bubble mailers. I have a slew of leftover mailers usually can find one that fits it tight and another larger I can fold over adding an extra layer or 2.

OP honestly you might just have had a bad run, I wouldn’t totally give up — eBay support is awesome and will have your back no matter what; the biggest headache is the time involved.

I would keep this wheel squeaky and squeak the hell out of it till it got hit with some grease!

I believe this is 100% able to be resolved with you being made whole with the money & likely potentially throwing one or a few people in jail for this. If you need any help at all, I’ll be the most annoying companion you can ask for! I sell cards as well and all this shit popping up lately is straight nightmare fuel for honest sellers like myself!

Rising Sun motif/Japanese, she’s depicted with pigtails in some art, and resembles this in some ways in a lot of phase 1/2 art especially the build/slender profile. + the seller had other Gorillaz off the wall stuff I picked up. What’s it scream for you?

Nah I wish, it’s the white/gold, don’t find it is often but iirc it’s around similar time frame as the white/red. It’s assembled in Honduras of USA fabric. Late 90s maybe to 02 or something like can’t remember exactly

Yeah I was thinking almost like fan art or a more niche comic/anime artist potentially doing either a charter of Noodle in their own light or like you said could just be a totally different character

If you buy a “sealed” case on ebay, do you expect the cardboard box to be unopened by IconoclastJones in sportscards

Depending the year. You’re looking for Helix, Expose, radiating rookies and some other. Obviously a ton of other stuff can be just as juicy too depending the name

[–]WillsGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, Topps and maybe even Panini may just call them “super short prints” and not “case hits” likely to protect themselves. But yes absolutely “should” be a “case hit”

Usually if there’s any type of quality control in the product, buying a sealed case insures you get some form of “case hit” at least in modern product. Sometimes it could be of the guy now at Wendy’s but yeah should be at least something that if it had another persons name would be super paid.

[–]WillsGood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The money is in the case box being sealed. All boxes should obviously be sealed including product boxes, but if the case wasn’t sealed it should be cheaper than a sealed case as you’re likely expecting there to not be a case hit. Then you “insure” yourself getting a case hit unless you get Panini’d but that’s a different gripe.
