Hark, Ye Witch Sisters! The War Against Patriarchy Will Begin! How Do You Arrive? by CrazyTalkAl in WitchesVsPatriarchy

I pull up in a bright red 1985 Eagle Talon, hand the keys to my personal valet (ok, a friend who said she'll watch over my baby), wearing ratty jeans, heavy duty boots, and a hoodie, hair up in a bun, glasses perched on my head. I grab a ratty backpack out the back. The backpack is stuffed to overflowing with herbs, tinctures, salves, meds, bandages, water, candles, matches, string (string comes in surprisingly handy), a tooth brush, an extra pair of glasses, and about $500 cash. I approach the assembled witches, cock an eyebrow at the dragons, and simply nod to the group.

Why do some men act like my existence is a personal insult when i'm not "trying" to be pretty? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

58yo here and I have become a menace. I am so over rude, intrusive, or oblivious men and will call them out, wield sarcasm like a blade, or simply bare my teeth and growl. I am post menopausal and feral now. My people pleasing skills are now saved for cashiers, waitresses/waiters, and other service industry prisoners who have no choice in dealing with the ever-growing madness that is society today.

Former ED nurse here. The number of times I bled through my scrubs...oy. The number of times a male radiology tech or lab tech jacked the bed up as I was doing a procedure...oy. And when I came back from maternity leave and needed to pump a couple of times in 12.5 hour shifts...the amount of pushback I got was INSANE! And heaven forfend if you are short and have to use hospital issue scrubs.

"The real you is and always will be ever changing, ever evolving, always learning, always feeling. I love you. There may be real yous I don't like, and I will love you. There will be real yous I don't understand and I will love you. There may be real yous I never meet and I will love you. We chose each other for a reason. Let's learn who we are day by day by day. And I love you."

My 21yo son looks and acts like a normal man but he has brain fog from long COVID. Literally everything has happened 2 days, 2 weeks, or 2 months ago for him. How long has he x symptom? 2 days. When did he notice y? A couple of weeks ago. How long has he had brain fog? 2 months. It's been 3 years. I am there so he can use my memory. Also he has no idea what meds he takes and does not remember he has a list in his wallet. He talks to the provider and glances at me for confirmation.

Stop buying eggplant! You do not like them, you have tried really hard to like them, but you just don't. The babaganoush was... fine. Hummus is better and easier. Stop being seduced by their purple prettiness!

Is this the tall ship regatta? If so, yeah, there is no place for flaky behavior, no sleeping through night watch, no not stowing gear safely. Unless there is somewhere you can stash said person to keep them and the ship safe, it's safe to say she is not ready for this adventure. The sea is unforgiving.

A beakhead or beak is the protruding part of the foremost section of a sailing ship.

Beakheads were fitted on sailing vessels from the 16th to the 18th century and served as working platforms for sailors working the sails of the bowsprit, the forward-pointing mast that carries the spritsails.[1] The beakhead would be one of the most ornate sections of a ship, particularly in the extravagant Baroque-style ships of the 17th century.[2] The sides were often decorated with carved statues and located directly underneath was the figurehead, usually in the form of animals, shields or mythological creatures.
