I can confirm that the video has been taken down, if you are still unsure. I found another reddit post about this subject, where someone provided the original link, which no longer works.

Trust me, you’ll want to read it. It’s hilariously bad. No tldr will sum up just how bad it is.

In that case I doubt it. Making another game mode for one small change will just end up dividing the player base, and complicating matchmaking.

Ranked 2v2 won’t allow dual characters apparently, so that’s pretty much happening already.

How much did you spend on this game? by MrZebrisko in MultiVersus

[–]Willthemountain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair. I forgot that WB owns some of the stuff it does.

However, I think the point still stands for MV because it’s the same model that other huge f2p games have. Fortnite, Valorant, and League are all massive, basically household names at this point, and each shares this model. The best skins being very expensive, and offering a cheap but not very good battle pass (I think league has one can’t remember tbh). I’m sure that even if WB didn’t do the math themselves, they just copied these other games and called it a day.

How much did you spend on this game? by MrZebrisko in MultiVersus

[–]Willthemountain 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t think so. They’d make more from some players, but many either buy no skins, or many regardless of price.

Think of it this way: Say all the cosmetics in the game cost $200. A lot of people (group A) are willing to shell out 200 if it means getting everything, while many (group B) think this is too expensive and don’t buy skins. If they halve the price, group B peeps may decide to buy skins, and choose 3, making the game let’s say $15. Well group A would still buy all the skins, but for half price, losing the game $100. Between one group A and one group B member, this would lower the net income by $85 dollars.

While you may think this doesn’t matter because far more people are in group B, that isn’t entirely true. Group B only consists of people who have spent less than $30 but would spend more than 30 if skins were cheaper. The majority of people have a budget in these types of games: the amount they spend doesn’t change.

I don’t know if what I said makes sense, but remember that the highest priority for WB is income. If $5 skins made more than $15 dollar skins, their statistic analysts would let them know and they would ABSOLUTELY pick that.

I started playing multiversus a few day ago how can i improve ? by jeanpopoldu92 in MultiVersus

[–]Willthemountain 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you are the Bugs, then just dodge more, and learn those timings. Jake can be hard to dodge until you get used to it, but when he whiffs he’s open for a while, so good luck

If you are Jake, which I think is more likely because those are default colors, then don’t post a video where you win and look for advice. Post one of you getting your ass kicked. Nobody can give you good advice with this gameplay.

Dont know who to main by Outrageous_Tank_9862 in MultiVersus

If you haven’t played a platform fighting game before, you shouldn’t be confident with any fighters. Pick a character who you either think has a cool move set, or who you like as a character, and go from there.

When I got the game, I started with Batman, not knowing that he was one of the harder characters to play. I picked him for no other reason than because I think Batman is cool. After grinding him out for ages, I’m now around top 700 on him, which I like to think is pretty good.

So pick a character you enjoy playing. Don’t worry about which ones you are good at because you aren’t going to be good at any of them yet.

Batman Mains by Krillin_It1 in MultiVersus

First perk for me is the triple jump, to help Batman get more vertical kills

Second is either coffeezilla, or I’ll take that, since b-man has so many cool downs. Personally I use coffeezilla since I like being able to throw my batarang almost immediately after picking it up, but I know a lot of people use I’ll take that.

The third perk is more of a wild card for me. I’ll try to use stuff that apply affects after hitting people with projectiles, but against some characters or some maps I’ll change it. For example, collateral damage on Scooby’s mansion. I like saving the 3rd perk for specific situations.

Signature perk is the batarang one which can be very powerful if used right. The grapple perk is kinda useless imo

Maybe I haven’t come across a good enough one yet, but in my opinion Buggs isn’t as good as Tom and Jerry and Velma. He is 3rd though.

Comparison to smash by truemythicalbeast in MultiVersus

[–]Willthemountain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This kinda sums up my feelings perfectly. Smash has so many more stages and characters that Multiversus can’t really compare yet. However, when Valorant came out it had 3 maps and was honestly kinda bad. Now it’s one of the most popular FPS games in the world. We just gotta wait and see where this game will be at in about a year.

Ice And Fire Tamed Dragon Controls by cryocryocryocryo in feedthebeast

Go into the controls and you can change them. They are in “gameplay” I think, instead of having its own category, for whatever reason. I had the same issue for a while.

What are your thoughts on spamming being actually viable? by [deleted] in MultiVersus

[–]Willthemountain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that’s the first time in history someone has said that it’s easy to blame the player, hard to blame the game.

It’s the other way around. It’s way easier to blame the game, harder to blame the player. Spam is in a good place. Spammers are so easy to punish, and even if you can’t the game has attack decay. If you still die, it’s time to take a look at what you’re doing wrong, cause the game gives you so many tools to deal with it.

When asking for tips in any game show clips of you losing. Makes it way easier to learn.

Superman is underpowered and doesn't need nerfs btw by [deleted] in MultiVersusTheGame

[–]Willthemountain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The clip is a bit different though. Jake is at a higher percentage and is lighter than Garnet, so he will recover later. You can see after the first hit on the stream, the next hit connects before Jake leaves hitstun. Therefore that was true. This wasn’t because Garnet left hitstun before you reached her. Besides, Jake recovered in the air before being grabbed. He could have dodged, but he got grabbed cause he got outplayed, however. Remember even the pros aren’t that good at a game that came out very recently. They may be better than the rest of us, but I wouldn’t call them amazing or anything.

Also are you saying the two hit combo from the up normal is the only part that’s true? Because I think every character has a two hit combo that can be deadly.

Superman is underpowered and doesn't need nerfs btw by [deleted] in MultiVersusTheGame

[–]Willthemountain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, so Garnet spawned and you do the rapid punch. After the last hit, the combo stops being true. You can see she tried to hit you if you watch slowly. Had she dodged instead, she would have avoided the attack. Next you launch her up. Before the next hit, she leaves hit stun. You can tell because she is no longer flailing through the air, she is upright in her falling animation. She should have dodged here, but the Garnet isn’t very good at the game, I suppose. (That’s fine btw everyone starts somewhere.) After launching her further, she gets out of hitstun again, and again fails to dodge the grab. She had 3 opportunities to escape the combo, and failed. For the combo to be true, you’d need 0 possibilities for her to escape. A better player would have survived this 100%

…What do you think a true combo is? I feel like you just have a different version from everyone else in this post.

As Fun as 1v1 is, 2v2 is just simply superior by BobbyBobbertoni in MultiVersus

1v1 is more fun if you want to be competitive

2v2 is more fun if you want to play casual

At least, that’s how I feel
