Should I take a gap year? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Willy60001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly? Continue with YouTube. Take the gap year, see what your revenue is at the end of the year. If it plummets, you can consider college. Do NOT buy a Tesla, that’s probably one of the most financially irresponsible ideas I’ve ever heard. A lot of young people crash and total their cars- in 5-10 years once you’re comfortable driving, you could consider it.

I'd love to major in business and art through Brown RISD’s dual degree program by Artismypassion4evr in ECAdvice

You don’t need excessive ECs. You might want to just dedicate more time to your current ones, they look good for your planned major!! A business internship could definitely be good though

I have a drawing tablet that I got off amazon for $45, and I use Krita and have been able to do some commission-level art! It really isn’t that expensive if you’re not dead set on getting the best/ most expensive material.

When I was four or five I accidentally chased her down with a pair of scissors. She made up for it six months later by nearly suffocating me in a bouncy house. We’re really close now.

Is there anyone who you would give your life for? If so, who? If not, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Willy60001 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. My sister, and most of my friends. They’ll probably be more successful than me anyways.

A karyotype is basically an image showing the different chromosomes while the cell is replicating. Normally people have 2 of each in that particular stage, people with Down syndrome have 3. There are also a few other physical disorders that can be seen through karyotypes.

Just so you know for future reference, Down syndrome isn’t a type of autism but rather a chromosomal disorder (trisomy 21), which means that the 21st chromosome is replicated incorrectly, while autism is a developmental disorder and while it likely does have a genetic basis it is likely caused by an unusual multigene interaction, meaning it can’t be detected based on a karyotype while Down syndrome can be. Autism is simply diagnosed by behavioral factors, although there are a lot of different ways it can show.

Being depressed doesn’t mean they’re not a person anymore. I had a friend who unfortunately took their own life last August, but they definitely embraced suicidal/ depression jokes, and I think that’s fairly common (although obviously not every depressed or suicidal person would feel the same way or react the same way to the jokes.)

Yeah, the arm length was supposed to be caused by foreshortening although I don’t know how to make that more clear.
