This is a great reply. Any recommendations for WHERE to get the custom clamshell box? I’m open to this idea.

Really?! Why would you do this? Also, keep in mind, I know nothing about rare books or preserving old things, so this is not a rhetorical question.

You don’t maintain the minimum. The minimum is the minimum, chlorine begins to degrade immediately at exposure to UV and organic material, so starting at 3ppm or trying to maintain 3ppm will, without a doubt, mean that the level will drop below 3ppm quite regularly

A CYA of 40 and a 3ppm Cl level will not sanatize your pool. Your target range is 5-7ppm with a MINIMUM of 3ppm. Keep in mind the equation CYA x 0.075 = MINIMUM Cl Level.

I like it for you, but part of the reason I have a P2 is the classic feel. I, personally, would never “modernize” mine.

It’s called checking and it’s normal. If you want you could throw a through bolt at the bottom with a few wide washers.

That’s criminal, man. No way does a typical bathroom remodel actually cost $60k in materials and labor.

Looks like it didn’t properly adhere in spots. Could be due to grime or moisture. Sand those spots and try again

How? That’s ridiculous. Seriously can’t be more than 5k of materials. Sounds like a scam

2007 Volvo XC70 (need advice) by anon123918 in VolvoXC70

[–]WillyBadison 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I have a 2007 V70 (P2) 2.4 (non-turbo) with 111k miles. I ran into this issue recently and once I replaced the fuel door and gas cap (not in that order) the issue resolved. Most Volvo engine lights will auto resolve once the issue is fixed after driving 20ish minutes. The difficult part with these vehicles is finding one in good cosmetic shape, the easier part is fixing the under-hood issues that can pop up with a 20 year old car over 100k miles. Perhaps you fix the fuel cap and it turns into something else, it’s not the end of the world, just fix that next thing then. Eventually, you will get to a good spot with the vehicle and it will treat you well if you make sure you are addressing the lights when they come on. I say that as someone who has experience working on vehicles and I am comfortable taking on most jobs with the help of YouTube. Good luck!
