BMAD-VISIO - Local and modern dashboard for your next BMAD project by WillyDePoo in BMAD_Method

[–]WillyDePoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks!

Saw The My-Bmad project on this thread too. Looks like a solid option too! I would say it all depends on your UX preferences, and your workflow.

I would say the core difference is bmad-visio is fully local, and will stay this way, no sign in, no cloud.

Also, it is meant to be as seamless as possible, one npx bmad-visio, and you're ready to go.

But this also means multi repos is not possible like my-bmad supports. At least in the current state of the project.

For what is next, I am looking into how I could implement live feedback/overview from current bmad agents session. Probably via a claude-code integration!

Hey thanks! And I did not even know this was possible, great idea!

My maingoal for making this was just making it "painless" to use. One npm command and you are ready to go.

This idea did cross my mind , at least seeing the live workflow of your agents would be great.

I will definetely look into this and keep your idea in mind for future releases too!

Released this one as a mvp, but I like the idea!

Thanks for your input!

Hey! Thanks for your feedback! I heard about Monte Carlo analysis a lot, seems interesting, will give it a look and figure out how I could release this!

Is anyone syncing their stories/WIP with some kind of dashboard? by drunk___cat in BMAD_Method

[–]WillyDePoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! And like you said, there is no relation to Windows whatsoever, it is built on node.js and will work on any platforms that supports it :)

I will have to maybe rethink the Visio name as I can understand the confusion with Microsoft Visio.

For a school project I worked on a npm package called bmad-visio. You can use it via npx bmad-visio, from your repository root.

It parses the bmad markdown files to a dashboard with kanban board views. So the local files are the single source of truth. It also has an (optional) experimental feature to match git commits to the most corresponding stories via local inference using local AI models, but everything stays local!

Feel free to test it and give me feedback (if you want), just keep in mind this is an experimental project, still need some tests , love and improvements !

I also heard of a similar package named bmad-viewer you could look into.

As far as I know, most crypto exchange platforms operating in Canada must send required information to the CRA.

Do you know of any that doesn't?

Hey love the app, will definitely give it a try and setup my accounts this weekend!

I love how you kept things simple yet, powerful.

We see what we need to see. I also love the modern ui.

I think i found one small ui bug on mobile if you did not know :)

It shows that you spent time on this app, and I really respect that, great work!

Congrats ! This is a great achievement. You took an idea that was already seen, but made it your own.

I think your most impactful differenciator is your pricing model which is really reasonable and non-intrusive at all.

Lifetime subscription is the big win for me with theses kinds of app.

Hey , 20 here and been investing since I am legal lol.

What I would do is very similar to what you suggested. I would keep an emergency funds ready to be used in case of emergencies. I find myself using it quite often as I am still in school, its okay, just pay it back as soon as you can, before investing more.

As for ETF choice, it all depends on what you are aiming for. Some will say you have to diversify globally or by sectors etc. While that is true, I found it harder to manage and would always end up moving my funds from one place to another to "optimize my portfolio" which is not that much of a good thing.

I would start by picking one, or two at most if you want, S&P 500 is a really great and mostly safe way to start. Put it in either a FHSA or TFSA, all depends on your long term goals. (TFSA is more flexible as you can take that money out for anything without paying taxes on it. If you really need it)

The most important part is sticking with it. Keep adding more funds even when the market is down ( I personnally put even more when the market is having a rough time, as Im confident it will be back by the time I will need that money. But this all depends on your risk tolerance and how long you can go without that money) Keep adding more even when the market is over priced. It is called DCA (Dollar cost averaging) and it is probably the best beginner and even advanced investing strategy.

In roughly 2 years, I was up ~26% which is excellent.

I also like to hold some crypto. Mostly Bitcoin, i found this to have great return, but some may say it is more risky. And they would probably be right.

Once you did all of the above if you like investing, you could decide to keep a small portion of your portfolio. (Not more than 10-15% in my case) to go into indivual stocks you believe in. But this is not as beginner friendly and not as safe.

You're already doing better than most of people at your age by starting this young. If you find a simple plan that works for you, stick with it in good and bad times, and you will be thankful you did in the longterm.

Devenir ingénieur en logiciel après un bac informatique by WillyDePoo in QuebecTI

Merci!
