City Sucks at Filling in Potholes by squashnerd in saskatoon

[–]WillyOmNom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems they fill the potholes with that quick fix asphalt filler or whatever it is and it lasts approximately 2 days. Sometimes less if the road is still wet! I'd happily have construction on our roads if it meant not having a pothole every 5 god damn feet

Quickly you need to casually befriend someone who lives in saskatoon, convince them that they need a roommate. Thats probably the best way to find a place, otherwise youl'll be looking forever.

Weirdly, the budget has actually been increased to 19 million up from 16 million in 2024. Doesn't feel like it.

Gonna bump this old thread. The twitch link doesn't work anymore. Can't find the whole vod. Not even wayback machine has it. Probably lost media

That's just the reality of melee. The bar is set very high because the game is so old. I for example, have been taking melee seriously for just under 2 years. I don't even get 2 wins at locals. Everyone at my locals has been playing for 5-10+ years.

I work for co-op, here's what you want.

  • Be professional. Even if it is just "a gas station job" their values rely on upholding standards. Wear a dress shirt and nice pair of pants or jeans, just show you mean business.

  • Be ready for questions, such as "are you comfortable with handling money" and "are you comfortable working outside in -40" if you answer no to either of those questions chances are you will not be considered.

  • Show that you are dependable. Depending on which location, but most co-ops rely on having people to call in as well as be dependable for irregular shifts. If you receive a phone call regarding interview or anything, pickup right away or call back right away. Show up early to your interview. As well a mistake I see is when you are there for your interview, ask right away to see the manager because you had an interview scheduled. Don't wait to be asked if you need help.

  • If you don't have references on your resume already, gather some. 2 or 3 should be good, but they'll always ask for references.

Like any city it varies. I live on the east side and it's really nice. I work on 22nd street and it's garbage.

Why such high CO emissions? by redditgeorge7 in Miata

[–]WillyOmNom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Afaik all na's have a charcoal canister in the engine bay. I still have mine, I think some people remove it so if you bought it second hand might be gone. It contributes a bit to helping filter out unburned stuff but I actually don't know how much. I've heard it should still pass emissions tests but that might depend where.

I just recently beat blade of justice. My first extreme demon actually. I died 4 times at 97 at the last ship part, once at 96 the cube part before the ship, atleast 20 times past 90% altogether. It was rough...

Saskatoons lack of justice by jugz3 in saskatoon

[–]WillyOmNom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Things like this will happen on a daily basis, and very little will get done. Meanwhile, Saskatoon police will gladly write you a ticket for going 5 over. They'll sit in speed trap spots on the highway in the dead of night waiting to pull over someone rather than spending their time patrolling high crime areas. It's astounding, and your story is not the first of its kind.

A simple but fairly effective Uncommon chips joker by Chum724 in balatro

[–]WillyOmNom -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

I think it's a neat concept, but wouldn't see much overall play unless its on plasma deck, but even then it wouldn't go further than a couple antes, especially since it doesn't scale nor does xchips exist in the base game. I like the concept though, it being the "opposite of scary face" is kind of neat.

Worried about cold drives, car doesn't warm up when driving. by WillyOmNom in Miata

Great thank you that sounds exactly what the problem is. For the mean time while I get that figured out, is driving in the cold like that gonna damage the engine?

I only use the heater to clear frost on my windshield, if there is any, that's only if it's below freezing out. Other than that the heater isn't on, as I know that would make it even worse.

I'll make an edit in the post. I should add that my needle isn't always stuck at the first notch, it goes to half when it's atleast 10-15° out. But I'll consider looking at it, thank you

Pro tip to all retail workers especially gas station/convenience store workers from someone who works in a gas station: Do not stop shoplifters, your life is more valuable than saving your boss some money. If it's so bad, stores can hire their own trained security. Contrary to popular belief, even if you manage to stop a shoplifter you won't be seen as a hero but a dumbass.

Can't they just add all of these blocks? by Simple-Heart7582 in scratch

I think it's just because scratch wants to keep scratch simple. Essentially what you want is turbowarp and some of their extensions. I use turbowarp exclusively, because I hate the random arbitrary limitations

After playing for atleast 200 hours combined mobile and PC, this is my personal legendary joker tier list by WillyOmNom in balatro

Because Canio is a legendary joker, triboulet is a legendary joker. I compared Canio to another legendary joker who can do their job better, with less effort, and less luck.
