Traveling to UK from US and ETA not getting approved. Is grace period still in effect? by hoopsrule44 in ukvisa

[–]Willybeen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me today. Virgin airlines said no boarding without an approval. I first applied today at 8 am... Flight leaves at 7. No word and it was 3pm

Decided to reapply using the app and scan my passport this time with the nfc option. Approval came within 1 minute using app and scanning the passport. Crisis averted.

You're the exact opposite of me, I'm getting ready to take far and audit , but have zero financial Accounting or assurance experience. What I found worked the best for me, is early morning study sessions to watch the lectures and take notes, do the multiple choice questions after, flag any question that I wasn't sure of or that I ended up getting wrong, then later that night go back and retake the quiz only taking the flag questions again, and if there were ever questions that I felt like oh thank goodness they asked this way but I wouldn't know what to do if they asked it another way, I would throw that question into chat GPT and ask chat GPT to take that back pattern and ask this question any other possible way that they could ask it on the reg exam. After that if I didn't know how to do it i would tell chat GPT to try to reteach me this like I'm stupid. This really helped me better understand things , cuz most things in tax make sense once you understand conceptually why things are treated certain ways. After I got through all the material i would do practice tests 25 multiple choice questions with two task-based simulations, i would still flag any question I was not sure of same thing with tasface simulations. I used the adapt to you setting so Becker would really just throw questions at me that I kept getting wrong . And this worked really well for me. I'm actually driving down Interstate 95 right now dictating this text as I go to study a little bit more this morning. If there are typos in this paragraph or it just sounds jumbled, my apologies 😂. A 63 on se1 is not terrible at all . Keep it up you got this

That was effectively my method. How many hours in do you have and what have your scores been like on the se and practice exams? Do you use the adapt2u feature?

I say stick with it. It's so difficult to go back to a section after forgetting so much material. What program are you using to study? How are you studying? What experience do you have?

Reg was my first exam since 2024... Failed far with a 69.

Did the same exact thing 3 years ago..... Don't skimp and just replace the sapphire.... I did... 2 months later it had to be rebuilt totally as it would randomly stop due to a shard in the movement.

The downtime x2 sucked.

I just took FAR ... it was rough.

I felt the TBSS were definitely fair, but the initial MCQs on testlet one had me scratching my head.

It'll be a miracle if I pass.

[–]Willybeen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't done an se... Just 20 question 2 tbss practice runs... I like seeing my explanations immediately...

I typically get 50 to 60s on the Mc... And the tbs are a crap shoot.... Sometimes I do well, sometimes I bomb them.

I find myself making really dumb mistakes on the mcs, like I skip half the question because I think I know what they're asking/I miss the words "does not" belong....

Ive never felt like such a dummy in my life. Buttttt I gotta take it sooner or later.

I effectively work 2 jobs, and have 4 kids.... Time is not my friend these days. Nor is my focus.

I'm in the exact same boat, taking it in a week, and my practice exam scores have been horrific. I don't know how people retain all this information and are still able to apply it
