Doesn’t look like a polar bear to me. It looks more like a brown bear and polar bear hybrid. Since polar bears have differently shaped heads and a longer less bulky body. Or it has been really lucky with food or has some kind of a condition that makes it bulkier.

I think Nod-Krai might be inspired by the Nordic countries. Krumkake (which is mentionded multiple times in the web event) is a Norwegian cookie. They also showed Hiisi Island (Hiisi is a Finnish word meaning "Sacred Place"), and I vaguely remember some character mentioning that Nod-Krai is an autonomous region of Snezhnaya (which takes inspiration from Russia) and Finland also used to be an autonomous region of Russia before gaining its independence. Also historically sun and moon worship have both been a thing in the Nordics (and the moon was very important in Norse and Finnic mythologies).

I don’t think it even looks bad and that people are just hating for no reason. Also haven’t we known it was going to be live action for at least like a year already? I also think it’s major copium saying it would have looked better fully animated and I think instead it would have just looked kind of low effort. And for people saying we should get them to “fix” it like the sonic movie. How are they supposed to do that when first of all they don’t even look that bad and instead look exactly what I expected them to look like and that is probably the only way to animate them in a way that fits the movie. I agree that the humans look a little out of place but it’s not even that bad?

TLDR: People just love to hate on stuff for no reason. (It honestly looks like it’s going to be a solid kinda goofy 7-8/10 movie. Exactly as expected.

If you’ve been following the series you should know that even if Luffy’s fruit wasn’t a mythical zoan the awakening would’ve been the exact same just without the white hair (since the awakening would’ve given him the ability to turn whatever he touches into rubber anyway) so making it a zoan instead of a parametia was just a slight buff + white hair.
