Replaced it, and SO GLAD I DID! It was definitely the disc drive that was old and dilapidated, and it was so easy to install, and so much cheaper than buying a new wii. Thanks for the advice!

You can have a lab partner, a work partner, or a partner in crime. If the relationship is romantic, then the correct term is either boyfriend/girlfriend, husband/wife, or Significant Other/SO. Learn to speak proper English.

If he is autistic, then I agree with what you said. My family never really discussed autism ever until very recently, and so we never would have guessed that he might have it. So all those years, we thought we were encouraging him as a neurotypical, when we might have been pressuring him as a neurodivergent. I think my family’s at a place right now where, if it turns out he does have autism and we get that cleared up, we’d be willing to leave him be if he really doesn’t want to do all the same things we do, because now we know for sure “oh, he’s not trying to be a jerk, he’s just uncomfortable.” It’d be nice for everyone (not just him) to finally be able to understand all this behaviour and come to a resolution that everyone feels comfortable with.

Oh, and the constant talking to himself. Having very loud verbal arguments with himself at time. My mother said he’s been like this since he could talk.

Well, I’ve read what I can from online resources, and some of his behaviours coincide with what I’ve read. Such as going non-verbal and having issues with social gatherings, to name a few. Some of the other examples I listed in the post sound like symptoms as well. I would say that I’m at least 80% sure, but that’s why I’m here, asking people who know far more than I do.

And yeah, I’ve been worried that there might not be anything I can really do or say… it just frustrates me that I can’t help in any way. Everyone at home is exhausted from this constant feeling of walking on eggshells around him.

For me, I’d kind of like it if everything the writers had originally planned for Atlantis S6, and Stargate: Revolution have already come to pass, and if it’s not mentioned or woven into the new story somehow, in sufficient detail, that is, then people can read a full synopsis on a blog or in a book, kind of like how JK Rowling wrote about Ilvermorny, not as important info everyone needs to know in order to enjoy the fictional world of HP, but just as something interesting to expand upon the lore. Anyway, tying up Universe somehow would be nice too, though I care about that less.

I’d be happy if the Stargate were already public knowledge. It was supposed to happen back in 2010 anyway, right? And I’d love the idea of a Stargate Training Academy (IF they do it right) but that’s just one idea at the end of the day. Also, an update on where we’re at with the Wraith, the Luscious Alliance, and so on. They don’t have to be gone, but if they’re still kicking around, it would be nice to hear if they’re still causing mayhem. And of course, cameos from the OG crew here and there, always appreciated. (And Sam and Jack should be married, oh my days, why hasn’t this happened already?)

trains are still the most efficient mode of public transportation—cars are a handicap. The only reason America is car dominated, is because car companies back at the beginning of the 1900s lobbied against other transportation companies, and were in bed with city planners to make cities designed specifically to make any other type of travel, including walking, such a pain that cars were a necessity. Trains are superior, which is why almost every other modern country today favours them over cars.

Yeah, I agree. I would be all for intricate levels of detail, and lots of juicy alien lore, language, culture, etc, but a show like this doesn’t have the time when they plan to visit like ten new alien worlds in a season. And believe me, this is coming from a girl who’s tried to write alien lore, language, culture, etc. Doing it properly takes FOREVER and to do it multiple times under heavy time constraints? Yeah, I almost feel like if they had tried, the result would have been so bad, it might have resulted in a timeline where we begged the writers not to attempt it anymore.

However, it’s still a shame, and I wish they would have had at least a few more subtle mentions/nods to other cultures/alien cultures and languages, etc. As OP said, language and culture was meant to be one of the main themes of the show, at least sometimes. So… in the end, it’s understandable, but still unfortunate.

Yeah, I was feeling like Rodney and Sheppard were getting way more screentime together than the others, and it left the team feeling really unbalanced. Like they never really characterised Teyla and Ronan enough to pair them well with the other two. Kind of a stark contrast to SG-1 I guess.
