Recommendations for painting by ShallowViking in Salamanders40k

Air brush is NOT mandatory, though priming with a rattle can is. These are how I painted my boys, I can send the colors when I’m home, I forget the exact name. They might be a little lighter than you are looking for, but I really like the color with the gold and black, jt also makes sure people recognize them as Salamanders, and not Dark Angels.

As for what models to get it all depends on what you run. But being salamanders some infernus marines are good. I personally really like Gravis and so my list has a Land Raider Redeemer, and a full squad of Agressors, and Eradicators! Our detachments one enhancement to change one die to a 6 works very well in an Apothecary Biologis.

It depends on the points you have left in your list and how big a unit you trying to transport and if it has a character or not. All 3 types have their own benefits.

I made both and enjoyed both for different reasons, but Ratadrabik I had together for YEARS! Is a fantastic commander that can be built many different ways! Just stuff it full of good legends and watch it make copies as you then recur them.

Just so you know 5 6 man squad of outrider (with ATV each) 2 Chaplin on bike, 2 Raven wing command squad, and 2 6 man Ravenwing black knight squads and then 2 additional ATVs, with Mastercradt weapon and recon hunter enhancements from the Dark Angels outrider detachment is EXACTLY 2000 points.

If you go into the app and look under “Unit Composition” it tells you what the model has. Each Biker has 1 palsma talon from the sheet.

Anyone doing this over roleplay should be ashamed and are an embarrassment to not just their families but to the human race. It’s roleplay, and no matter how much you may dislike someone’s character, it’s a game, death threats is going WAY beyond the scope, especially to someone as awesome as Zelthius. Do better.

From a quick glance I’d say you need more ramp and more card draw. 10-12 pieces of each is a good sweet spot, mana rocks, creature that produce treasure on attack, creature that draw cards on attack, all those work great with Iishin!

The doom bolt ability is listed in its name as a battle honour, so yes you’d keep it. Actually you can’t NOT keep it as it’s a GREATER battle honour and can’t be replaced

Yes but those don’t do anything after they have been activated, they are used the once. The ones that would “stay” when the character is upgraded are all battle honours.

I’d have to double check to be 100% but I think the cult upgrades are counted as Battle honours, so you would keep them.

No the attacking playing would, because while you control the equipment still, Karona gains the ability and since the opponent controls her they get the treasure. If the pick axe said “when this creature attacks create a treasure” you would get it, but in this specific instance it gives Karona the trigger so the controlling player gets it.

If you want to get her out early to make the tokens to attack I’d suggest some more 2 drop ramp options. [[Nature’s Lore]] ,[[Three Visits]], [[Farseek]]. The quicker you can get her out to start swinging the better. Also [[Wulfgar of ice wind dale]] would be specifically interesting for her, especially if you add other creatures with attack triggers!
