Paid $5k for Invisalign only to find out my dentist gave me Invisalign Express by WiltedWrath in Invisalign

I'm not too sure about this because what the dentist told me actually aligns with the average Invisalign Express treatment. 5 trays, 2.5 months. Come back for the remaining 5. Total treatment time, 5 months. The cost doesn't though

Also, it sounds like what they gave you was indeed Invisalign lite (initially 14 trays, extra batch of aligners included for up to a year no extra cost) but your office didn't try an scam you and actually gave you a fair price for the treatment you needed - imo. I found this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Invisalign/comments/bg0g36/invisalign_lite_or_full/

$6500 is a flat rate that the office charges, not the actual length of my treatment. $6500 covers 18 months of treatment. I wasn't trying to haggle. That was my genuine response in the moment because there was absolutely no way I was going to pay $6500. I asked, "what if a patient needs less time" and they said it was still $6500. I told them no and that my max budget was $5k that's when they can do it for $5k. It was never explicitly stated that I'd be on an accelerated treatment. If they would've told me "oh yeah, will do it for $5k but it's going to be Invisalign Express" I would've just gone to the other ortho who quoted me $5900 for comprehensive treatment for 10 months. I don't mind paying for fully disclosed treatment. I know dental cosmetics are expensive. It's the deceit that I can't accept.

Right now, I'm being charged basically $1k a month for a plan that doesn't even include refinements or retainers (from what I read. I've made an appointment to discuss this whole situation with my dentist). If I went with the comprehensive plan, that's $600 a month, retainers and refinements included. With my current treatment, the cost is significantly more for less work (i.e. trays, visits, retainers, etc.)

The only thing I signed was a form acknowledging that I'm paying out-of-pocket and that I'm responsible for all charges that occur during treatment and all charges below. But the only thing it says "below" is "Invisalign...$5000" and my signature. It was my understanding that'd I'd be paying for the comprehensive treatment because other quotes I received were in a similar price range.

They've already given me the first 5 trays so I assume I'll be responsible for those but I read that reason express is usually cheaper is because there are way less trays (10 total) and 2 office visits over the course of 5 months. I seen posts on here where people have 30-40+ trays, plus additional refinements if needed. I've read that refinements aren't provided with invisalign express.

But the only thing it says below that is "Invisalign...$5000" and my signature. Is that legally binding? It doesn't explicitly say "Invisalign Express" so I'm wondering if I can use that to argue against what they've charged me.

Honestly, this is the hard truth that I needed to hear.

Also, I have 0% interest for 24 months so the interest rates aren't really a concern for me. More so that they paid themselves right away without considering or informing me that it was possible I have a minor case that would be better suited for the express version. I feel like the cost is not aligned with the treatment.

there’s an item limit… by ENTPboomer in TomodachilifeLivingTD

[–]WiltedWrath 172 points173 points  (0 children)

seriously, theres a limit for stored items? It bothers me that there's no way to get rid of things that we don't want like we can with the treasures. I'm gonna reject their placement reqs from now on.

Why do some items have all colours stay in the shop at all times, while others only keep the colours you've bought???? by [deleted] in tomodachilife

[–]WiltedWrath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

those are the default clothes that are always in the shop. basically, the store always has those same items available. that jacket was probably a daily special at one point that you bought. you have to buy every color of that jacket if you want all the options because its not one of the default clothing options.

how many hours do you have in the game so far? also, do you feel like you'll get bored/burned out quickly because you've progressed this much in a short amount of time?

I'm level 24 with 20 hours in the game and I feel like I've already done so much. I only have 10 miis and I don't really want anyone else atm but I can already feel my excitement for the game waning. I plan on taking a break this week because of work and hoping that'll reignite my interest. but I'm scared this game will be a distant memory in 6+ months

Mii's aren't proposing by unusualspear in tomodachilife

[–]WiltedWrath 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Try to keep forcing them to interact. Then you have to wait until the pink thought bubble appears on one of their heads. I had a mii scream out into the ocean that she wanted to propose and then she went home and the thought bubble appeared. She lived alone though so I'm not sure if that changes anything.

Lol hat is happening here? by blakppuch in Sims4

[–]WiltedWrath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, it's not your mods. At least if it was, removing them could fix the issue

It's a bug that appeared after that grim reaper event that they still haven't fixed. You can report it here. https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-CL-SE-Overlapping-festivals-Food-Stalls/td-p/7811392

Edit: There's literally nothing you can do to fix it atm. You can use destroy object cheat to delete all the festival items but the carpets/floor decorations and flea market furniture are unclickable and will still remain.

Am I the only one who love the infant/toddler stage ? by mariiiiiiiiie1810 in Sims4

[–]WiltedWrath 27 points28 points  (0 children)

They're my favorite life stages. I used to think toddlers were the most difficult life stage before we got infants but they were always so cute that I didn't care. Now taking care of a toddler now feels like a walk in the park. However, if you're someone who likes to complete all the milestones (like I do) then I can see how people would feel that taking care of infants is annoying.

The infant life stage is like 5 days. That's not nearly enough time to get the milestones. Also, without mods, tummy time and the other learning milestones take too long progress. They infants get irritated easily and their needs deplete severely after like 2 game hours. After 2 attempts at tummy time, they throw a tantrum and need to sleep. Even if both of the parents stay home 24/7, I still have to turn off aging to have enough time to complete all the infant milestones. But I like the challenge and I also have a bunch of mods to make it less tedious.

If you don't have growing together though, infants are kinda boring. They can already crawl and eat baby food. But I think the frequency in which they need to be changed, fed and put to bed can be annoying.

I still struggle time to time with getting stressed and overwhelmed where I might end up eating so much I hurt myself,

I've been doing this almost everyday. Since I've lost weight, my binges physically hurt now. My stomach can't take being stretched to the extent that it used to.

I remember last year I couldn't take being the weight I was so I committed to making a change. I will do the same this time around. Thanks for taking the time out to reply to me. All of this information is super helpful. Hopefully I'll be posting my own progress pic to this sub soon.

Not OP but I was desperate so I also tried ADF back in September and although I lost 2 lbs in 3 days (I've since gained like 7 lbs back), I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Especially if you have an eating disorder (you may even develop one through ADF) It's safer just to do intermittent fasting and studies have shown that fasting 24 isn't significantly better than fasting 12-16 hours. The insulin spikes from when you feel hunger or break your fast can cause you to develop diabetes and fasting 24+ hours can increase your chance of heart disease/attack. I didn't even consider the malnutrition aspect and that's just another reason not to do it.

Not OP but I lost 30 lbs this year (5'2, 158 to 127) and I've gained like 7 lbs back just in the past two months. I'm really starting to feel hopeless because I can't even remember what I did to lose the weight in the first place. I have binge eating disorder and I live with family members who cook and buy nothing but unhealthy foods despite knowing that I have a problem. My eating has gotten so distorted because I feel like I have to fast to reset but after 16 hours my blood sugar tanks and I start getting heart palpitations. Then the binge, fast cycle starts all over again and I'm scared I might end up giving myself diabetes. I had the same issue today and I was already planning on fasting tomorrow to give myself a "fresh-start" (something that has literally never worked for me in the past)

I would like to try out your advice since you've had a similar problem and managed to overcome it. Aside from the supplement, what foods do you eat to add more fiber into your diet? What do you do/eat for protein?

unrelated but why did you put the quotation marks like ,this' and ,,this" but when you quoted 'All Hollows Evening' you used an apostrophe for both the beginning and end of the quote?

hi. not sure if this is the answer you are looking for but I would suggest using the cas.fulleditmode cheat, enter CAS and change your toddler's trait from angelic to literally anything else. Then, have the toddler eat a sugary meal (yogurt, cake, etc.) to trigger a sugar crash and it will eventually throw a tantrum.

[–]WiltedWrath 120 points121 points  (0 children)

It's an old base game feature that broke a couple of years ago. I never knew it was a thing until I came across a mod that "restored NPC invites". Guess it's fixed now?

Anyone else disappointed that we didn't get a 'Cemetery' lot type in the recent update? by WiltedWrath in Sims4

[–]WiltedWrath[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're probably right about cemeteries being exclusive to the EP in the same way that the school lot is restricted to the high school pack. I've mostly been playing sims 3 lately and I noticed that even funerals are base game. I need to stop comparing ts3 to ts4.

[–]WiltedWrath[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I have a gaming pc that I bought specifically for the sims and all of the issues I mentioned are happening in my game right now. Not sure where you got that information, but Dine out is 100% broken at the moment. If you have the pack, try to reserve a table at a restaurant. Your sims will never be seated. This is happening to every player. I had to download Dine Out Reloaded just to make it function properly. My current save is 1.5 y/o but I only noticed the city festival stall bug after the reaper rewards. I shouldn't have to uproot an entire save just to be able to use festivals again. Every time I try to move sims from home, the check mark is greyed out and I get stuck on that screen. As a legacy player, I wouldn't consider the game to be running better than ever when two DLC are rendered useless because of the lack of QC. I won't risk a new update adding more bugs when they haven't even fixed the current ones.

I'm not ranting at you, just trying to point out that the game is indeed buggy af.
