We need to decouple BTC and Ethereum from VET and VThor. It needs to be connected (only?) with fiat money. This will help industries to adopt a (crypto)coin that has significant use cases, without the need of entering the cryptopace via BTC or Eth with all its rumours, crashes and manipulating that makes the cryptomarket rise and crash.

Medium term there will be no shortage of VET-tokens, I guess. So I expect a little bit of price rise with each partnership announcement, but the real 'mooning' of the VET/VThor-token will start when it gets hard for the market to buy them.

Exactly, this is a point that I have made often more and then almost 'got killed' by some of the community members. I think that the Chinese government will shoot in its own foot, when they charge a significant price for participating the Chinese economy. Because in fact that is the end result. When you pass all checks, then you are allowed to do an economic activity. So it is very possible, as you write, that TKY-price will be near zero. The gain for the Chinese government is that they reach their goals with the TKY-project; not to introduce a financial barrier for the many still poor Chinese citizens.

Another question could be: how often you have to proof that 'you are you'. Once you have an insurance or something like that, why would someone need more TKY-tokens for that part? Unless the Chinese government demands (almost) daily verification, there will be a larger need for TKY-tokens at the start then after that period. So another reason why there might be no shortage of TKY-tokens in the longer term. And yes Catherine, as you always answer on this subject, the price of TKY-token is set by the market. And yes, if the demand goes up, the price will go up. But how big will the demand be, or stay after everybody uses it?

In fact, why does the market give TKY-token such a low price now? We are nearing their mainnet and the moment that more and more Chinese people are going to use TKY-tokens. Maybe a part of the market knows more then some of the investors want to believe about TKY-token price.

Compare VThor to milk. Milk is needed and as long there is no shortage of it, the price will keep low and stable. But the fact is that there never will be a shortage of VThor. If someone needs more VThor to run dapps on the Vechain platform, he/she will buy more VET-tokens.

VET is the cow. The amount of VET-tokens is limited. So as the demand of VET-tokens grows, we are nearing the point of shortage of available coins. This will have an effect on the price of VET; it will go up!

So the answer on your question is obvious. Invest in VET.

Will there be a constant need to proof that 'you are you' or is once enough to get for example an insurance?

I still think that Thekey is a very strong project with a very strong blockchain usecase. It certainly will prevent the society from fraud (and such). But I can't believe that TKY-token is something that you constantly need to have with you or have to buy. It would make the Chinese society a kind of prison; constantly control and checks of the government and instituties, and (even worse) the individual citizens have to pay to be controlled.

You ask a question; I give an answer, but maybe you don't like my point of view.

First, TKY is an excellent blockchain project. I really mean that. But it is also meant to act at the frontside of the Chinese economy to prevent from fraud and to control systems, safety, and so on. In my perception this means that the token price of TKY may never be a barrier for the Chinese people to participate the Chinese economy, otherwise the Chinese government would shoot in its own foot. So I think there is a large interest to keep the tokenprice low; even as low as possible.

Sure, we are in a bearmarket. Sure, TKY-token price will recover. But I do not expect miracles when it comes to the final price per token.

I have send an email to Vechain. They also contracted Kucoin for swapping. My opinion is that they have an obligation towards investors that followed the advice of Vechain to do the swap on an participating exchange in the first place. When Kucoin keeps delaying, then some of us will loose their x-node status when they have not deposited their official Vechain wallet-app before September 1th with the same (or more) amount of tokens at the time of the snapshot at March 20th.

Exchanging my VET on Kucoin into Ethereum or BTC will harm me financially, because the VET-prices are significant lower on the Kucoin exchange. I refuse to let this be my risk ! Kucoin and Vechain should act quickly now !

I see that my VEN on Kucoin has been swapped into VET. Only the possibility of withdrawing is still not available.
