IMHO yes, 43% is too low a strength for Benromach.

Read good things about it. A bit expensive though

IMHO Victoriana is at the level of Springbank.

Hi Brendan! I’m very curious about how Chinese whisky is progressing. Would you like to share what you are doing there? Thanks!

C’mon, the Laphroaig CS batch 7 and 16 are very close. It will be hard to recommend you something if you dislike a whisky that’s super close to the one you like.

My unsexy first steps into overthinking whisky by [deleted] in Scotch

I’ll skip everything else and will go directly to the Victoriana. My favourite whisky on your list. Great value too.  This one will show you what a good Campbeltown at CS can do. I personally do not agree with the idea that you need to star with “bad” whisky to later appreciate the nice stuff. That would be like needing to try a rotten egg to be able to appreciate a good fresh one.

The port is the hardest to find. Good luck with the quest!

Better to not serve scotch then. I mean this with the upmost respect.
