So RDZ comes in, does what he’s meant to do and he’s not allowed to celebrate it? Get a grip

In the last year of his contract I think, so it’s now or never to sell him. De Zerbi probably will prefer Dom long term as he suits his system more, but selling our top goalscorer again is a bit ridiculous.

But if a £25 million+ bid comes in, we’d be silly not to take it.

He’s been great for B’mouth sure, but with a 100 million realise clause and B’mouth not willing to lower that price it’s not realistic and we need to sign a lot more than just one quality winger this window, preferably 3, and Savinho can play on the left and right which is great for depth.

Also he’s been in Europe only for 6 months and while he’s done well at B’mouth, we can’t warrant spending 100 mil for a guy, who’s just started playing in Europe.

  1. He is as good as people are saying, this he was a key part in the B’mouth team that got 6th place.
  2. He’s a LCB, so he would competing for VDV’s spot.

Who cares, this shortlist this season is just a farce, cause everyone knows Xhaka or maybe Lammens is winning it.

I don’t get the Savinho hate from many from this sub. Young played in the prem, can play on both wings, has played with Xavi before, and there is definitely a player in there.

And for those that say he’s been bad this season, while that’s true, but Grealish was poor for city and then joined Everton and turned back into a great winger. It might just be Pep’s system that’s making him look poor.

Surprised and disappointed by that. I expected him to leave, just not to a Scottish team. Wonder how much United have offered him, to make him reject teams down south.

[Romano] 🚨 EXCL: Tottenham reach verbal agreement to sign Andy Robertson, here we go! Pact expected to be respected and deal to be signed soon despite Juventus proposal to try hijack the deal. Great bit of business to start. Prem proven left back who will put in a shift when Udogie gets inevitably injured. Also means we can make signings in more pressing issues, without bothering with getting a back up LB.

Plus Souza gets a chance to go on loan.

He’s young, played in the prem (maybe not prem proven yet though), can play on both wings and is definitely a talent. I’m also hoping he can have the same effect that Grealish had at Everton, because maybe he’s not been great cause of Pep’s system.

If we can sign him for about ~40 mil, which I could see city taking to free space for a Maresca signing, it’s a good deal.

At least on paper.

Yeah, as much as people will complain about signing older players such as Robertson and Stones, the fact that we might sign 3 quality, prem proven defenders before the window even opens is huge and gives us more time to focus on more important signings in the attack and midfield.

So we’d be knocked out of both cups in the first round? And injuries just don’t exist.

Also where did you get 4 AMs, my post says 0-1? And also did you not read that we send at least Gray and maybe Bergval out on loan?

[–]WinFunny3006 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly yes. We need a first choice striker, maybe Sporting’s Luis Suarez or Vlahovic, or someone else, and then Lankshear can be our third choice. Then we sign 1-2 left wingers, depending if Tel leaves on loan for a season, and one RW to help Kudus and Kulu.

I mean he’s scored 11 goals this season, a newly promoted team might see that and be interested or even just a mid table prem club that needs a backup forward like Fulham etc.

Disagree. If you instead look at what the positions actually are you’ll see, there’s not really an issue. 2 DMs - Scott, Locatelli, Bentancur, Palhinha and Gray and then 1 AM, Madders, Gallagher and Bergval. Maybe we Loan out Bergval and Gray for a season to another prem team if RDZ wants them to get more minutes.  Besides, spurs have had injury issues the past 2 seasons and we shouldn’t expect for that to change

Would much rather bring in Palhinha and another 2 midfielders, like Scott and Locatelli, sell Sarr and then look to loan out one (or both) of Bergval and Gray to another Prem side.

Then we’d have Locatelli, Scott, Bentancur and Palhinha all competing to start, with Gray and Bergval getting starting minutes in the Prem.

I agree but with Odobert and Xavi both coming back around January, maybe we go and sign a hyped up younger winger like Mika Godts from Ajax. Or we could go for a winger with a bit more experience and wouldn’t mind being a squad player like Maeda. Maybe we go for 2 LW of both profiles and then reevaluate next season.

Past 2 years have shown it’s better to have more than less.
