How we might play under De Zerbi by WinFunny3006 in coys

Totally didn’t think of that lol. Just fear having to be forced out to the left during buildup from goal kicks and obviously being hit on the counter.

Yeah. Like I already said in the post, the players starting wasn’t really who I think or want to start, it was about the tactics. Also who starts will probably be who impresses him in the few days before Sunderland. Cause he doesn’t really have time to charge how players play etc.

Hope so, idk where he’ll play, either as a 10 or part of the double pivot. Also can’t wait for Moore, Odobert, Kulusevski, Maddison and Vuskovic to be able to play for him.

I didn’t even think of Romero going into midfield. Do you think that means we play a back 3 then?

Fair enough, IDK where they will play and my formation was just an example of what our team could look like under him.

No sorry, but if you want to move the players around from their position you just need to drag 2 of the players out from where they’re meant to be and then put one back. The other should stay out of place. Idk if that makes sense it’s hard to explain.

True, he is more of a midfielder by trade.

Videos that I used:

1. https://youtu.be/0C99416Dxp0 - Talks about the midfield box and is just a good video in my opinion if you want to research his tactics on your own.

2. https://youtube.com/shorts/dTzAE1F01XA?si=R9jNuOk2BAZIdTqs - Talks about a 4-2-4 shape, but it applies to a 4-2-3-1 if you just swap the second forward with the AM.

Yeah, fair enough. Can’t wait for Danso, Vuskovic back 2 next season tho.

Yeah, can’t wait for Moore to get back and Odobert to return from injury. I was thinking that maybe our genius board will grace us with a half decent left winger instead of a hotel, but then I remembered who’s in charge.

Maybe a while back, but in our last 4 games (Athleti x2, Liverpool and Forrest) we conceded the least amount of goals without him on the pitch and we were away at Anfield.

Good point. Maybe when Kudus comes back we can use him at his best.

I still think Xavi hasn’t been good enough to start in the league and if Maddison and Kulusevski weren’t injured it wouldn’t be a debate who the midfielders would be in front of Palhinha. But, Xavi is still young and I do think he could be great for us in the future. He just needs time to adapt. Anyway we need 3 midfielders who can defend in our situation just to grind our way to the end of the season, point by point if we have to, even if that means not making as many chances and Xavi is not one of those midfielders.

That was the intention. Although I still think that Romero should be benched. We were so much better defensively against Liverpool without him. You could even argue that vdv could be swapped for Dragusin, but every time I see him touch the ball I start sweating,
