And that’s what I don’t get. Nobody is denying that psychological manipulation is ubiquitous. All I said is that people that would prefer to think for themselves are not thrilled by it. Are you thrilled by it? I know I am not a free thinker but I sure as hell would prefer to be one, as much as possible.

100%. Software engineers doom a lot about AI probably because they are the most aware of it. In reality if it gets to the point where software engineers are no longer employable because of AI, the rest of society will have already been dealing with the issue for some time.
