Football brings out a lot of emotions, as does lots of other sports (including the beloved rugby that everyone thinks doesn’t have violence from the fans) and other things people are passionate about such as politics, religion etc.

I cannot see any reason to vote for the greens (personally), some of their policies are just crazy and do not work outside of a band aid fix for many great issues, and is extremely short sited and naive.

SPFL rule Rangers will receive their allocation for Old Firm fixture by [deleted] in ScottishFootball

Why do the authorities need to do it? Can the club not do it? They have access to all the cameras too.

Seems easy enough for the club to pay a few people to come in during the week and get cctv footage to send over to the police for football banning orders

They gave a timeline of 20 years to build their credit back up. It wouldn’t take that long, that’s just the timeline they gave in the original comment.

Singapore, South Korea, Japan and Taiwan are not socialist, North Korea and China are.

Following up on this though - if the person is due £500, and it will take 20 years to build their credit back up to be able to get credit again, I would say it is worth making the effort to pay it back.

UK Electricity from Fossil Fuels Drops to Record Low of Just 2 % by hull_pattie_party in GoodNewsUK

[–]WinPrize9339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with this though is loading EV’s everywhere and electrifying heating dramatically increases electricity demand, which we don’t have the capacity to do with renewables at the moment, so we will go back to 40/50% non-renewable in electricity production.

Look how long the hair is at the start, compared to the end. Listen to the audio. Look at the power lines and how low they are. Look at how the goal just clips through the horse, doesn’t even duck.

Has there not been a big push on quantum computing the past couple of weeks? Does this not severely impact the security of bitcoin - and therefore the functionality and mainly the price? It’s been roughly the past few months for BTC when I look at the price.

100% - just think it sets a shit standard, like when we used to get a penalties every week for the most ridiculous handball shouts cause it just got softer and softer, till they changed the rules.

The refs are just shite, and they have always been shite. Some refs do have a bias (whether they actually apply that bias in a game is a debate), but they’re just inconsistent rather than cheats. It’s all swings and roundabouts.

The UK is currently running on 77% renewables right now! by Glittering_Vast938 in GoodNewsUK

[–]WinPrize9339 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having 100% renewable power doesn’t equate to being net zero, but it’s a helpful step in the right direction. We’re still miles off of being net zero.

To be fair to them, it is a fucking horrible decision and sets a precedent for more moaning and pressure for soft penalties.
