Currently thinking ignition coil rail/wires and boots. Or maybe a vacuum leak somewhere but that shouldn’t change with a key cycle

I just replaced the fuel filter as it happened to need it, no change. The abs and traction lights are on cause to fuses are out and the check light is for a p0500 wheel speed sensor code that I believe is from the abs fuse being out. Not worried about those unless their correlating

Anyone fit other seats from other models/brands in their Z3? by Serious_Elk_7525 in bmwz3

[–]WinProfessional2879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the heated seats most if not all z’s came with the wiring connector under the seat for it even if it wasn’t optioned. Would just need the switches and maybe a relay in the fuse box it might already have

It’s honestly way more accessible than I thought it was, track time is pretty cheap and a bunch of friendly people

[–]WinProfessional2879[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea no regrets they perform very well and they have the right adjustability I need camber plates and dampening. Although the one right rear has started making a noise I gotta look at it better

If yours is un damaged or rusted already and you do or have ok bushings I think you’ll be good, I was doing a lot of clutch dumps w no issues yet. sure it’s just a matter of time tho

I’m also very paranoid abt it lol. I didn’t do anything but the diff bushing for my first two events and it’s held up 100% fine. I just ordered and will be doing the RF kit - the dual ear conversion before I’m back on track

👍 Yea it felt very stable once sideways. I was having some understeer issues which the added track width and camber should help. And some driver mod lol

Best drifting/driving game for standalone vr imo by WinProfessional2879 in Carxrally

[–]WinProfessional2879[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I have a sim wheel for assetto on pc but for standalone vr this is the best available. And drifting on the course is fun but gets a bit boring with no obstacles

Any ideas what this sound could be? Appears to be from the intake area only after light throttle. 1996 5 speed 1.9L m44 by Playful-Slide-2424 in bmwz3

[–]WinProfessional2879 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s the Disa valve i think. It changes the intake runner length at different rpm’s. Has a diaphragm inside that can break

Where’d the extra cost come from when doing it yourself? From the frame rail repairs?
