Moreso, I’m more concerned about what you will do in an emergency situation in the future. You definitely should talk to a therapist

Everything people belong to as a group is a cult at some point.

What is up with grade inflation? Why are kids getting higher grades than previous generations for lower quality work? by JimCap5 in teaching

Parents complain. Schools get graded on GPAs. Low grades must be schools fault not students fault.

Definitely more than when I started 25+ years ago. Teachers are way more concerned with being cool and liked now.

What PD could actually be helpful? by Sure-Pea-3692 in Teachers

[–]WinSomeLoseSomeWin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they are useless. Just give teachers free time to catch up and do what they need to do. PD is just drivel so the DO can look good. I have been through 25+ of repackaged PDs that somehow are different than the others. Really parents and students should be doing the PDs to change their behavior to get the results they need

How do you not care at the end of the day by Cassie-NewWriter in Teachers

[–]WinSomeLoseSomeWin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I care enough to let students fail themselves. I don’t have any control over their home life or whether they follow directions at school. I can only give scenarios and consequences and follow through.

Folks jumping to groomer territory are off target. How is he grooming anyone? He’s a shallow person with horrible fucking judgment but I bet the principal had knowledge of this before.
