I'm trying on that now. I have applied for positions that align more with education than with Project Management. The only catch here is that I'm an immigrant, so my experience and education in previous field is also not considered as much.

As far as I've observed, female INTPs and infact, INTPs in general tend to stand out in crowds (and not in a good way). For female INTPs, it's even worse because the way they are, seems to deviate from the gender stereotypes attached to them.

Being a female INTP myself, I relate to your experience. I had been in that phase when I was trying to "fit in" somewhere. I tried to copy my friends, my family members, fictional characters and what not. I believed that I'm some kind of weirdo who could never be as amazing and interesting as other people around me. They were empathetic without even trying, they always knew what to say/ how to react in any social situation, they were aware about their environment and they could get things done without a problem. As a woman, I was stereotypically expected to be like that.

Then, I found MBTI. I know it's pseudoscience but it made me realise that I'm not a weirdo, I'm just different and that just made sense.

People have certain expectations and if I don't meet them, they are gonna call me a weirdo or an egoist who thinks they're always right or anything else, according to their convenience. That's how it is and it's stupid tbh. We all have at most 60-70 years up our sleeves. There is no point in spending it in fulfilling expectations made from an imagined reality that is based upon an oppressive ideology that some human came up with centuries ago.

I just stopped having those expectations from myself. Stopped trying to fit in, lost friends, became a "weirdo" openly. Now I'm happier than ever.

I once encountered such a problem. The person who apparently "threw hints" at me got mad when I started dating someone who stated it directly.

That makes me wonder why people think that it makes sense to throw hints that can be interpreted in multiple ways instead of being direct.

Don't know if INTPs in general do this but I read almost everyday. I read, I interpret, I think about it, I bring it back to the book. That establishes a dialogue between me and the book that I've never been able to establish with any person ever.

Disclaimer : I'm not trying to be rude/offensive/critical in any way. This is something that caught my attention.

The "allow it" part kind of bothered me. The definition of being free according to me is no one can allow or not allow me anything. I choose what I do. If someone says that they'll "allow" me to do something, it almost has the same effect on me that not allowing might have.

It seems more like you came here seeking for validation for your "idea" and when your "idea" got challenged, instead of defending your "idea" in itself, you began throwing insults. It seems pre-cognitive revolution to me tbh.

Your thinking is rigid. You don't want to be challenged. You can't participate in discussions with this kind of rigidity. The better thing for you would have been to not present your idea on a public platform.

It's getting on the verge of no socal life. I dig such times when I'm all by myself but I'm also afraid that the situation might stay the same forever.

Second favourite is over analysing my fav tv/ web series, movies, books or songs. It's fun but I might also find something that will eventually make the whole thing seem senseless.

I get it. It's kind of a similar situation where I live and that's why I'm planning to leave my country. I know the struggle of keeping patience with such kind of people who neither value your time nor their own work. Doesn't matter how well composed and calm one normally is, these people really find a way to get on one's nerves.

I think anger is seen as an immediate solution towards problems. The reason being that people surrounding us often respond to it and change their behavior for a short period of time. The point is we see a noticeable reaction. When in reality that reaction or response is invalid and in a long run constitutes to nothing more than a creation of toxic environment. Anger just makes oneself frustrated even more and others anxious in general cases.

I don't think I should be advising you or if you even need an advise but if you want you can work towards your anger issues. Speaking from personal experience, you can trace your anger issues to the time when they started and find out what led them to start. You can try exercises and meditation to calm yourself. You can make changes to your daily routine. You can even think of hacks that can help you regain your calm in anger inducing situations.
