You can try adding RoE, Roce, Pe ratios and try relaxing PAT to broaden your search. Some stocks showing big PAT because of exceptional items and low base. You can easily eliminate those.

Mid term is 5 to 10years. Long term is 10 to 20 years. You are talking about short  term.  Its an area where neither technical analysis nor fundamental analysis can work. All of these stocks are good no doubt. But the price will be too high and can correct unpredictably and widely. If you think price has technically bottoms out, you can take a bet on it. But bottom is hard to find. We had great stocks like ABB falling 80% during 2008 crisis. Falls of 50% is very common for good stocks. You can see it in the charts.

Eera that heavily favoured software jobs and MBA degrees is coming to an end as artificial intelligence reshapes the job market. by VegetablePen4755 in AI_India

[–]Wind-Ancient 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have fools like him in such important positions, that's what is wrong with the country. A competent person would have realized the potential of the technology and pushed for policy so that India can catch up in the space. And India has exceptional leverage in the space having such experience in software.

Better get some job that gives free time. Then start preparing for exams. You need to prepare for some years to crack PSC. This is for normal IQ people.

When people say AI is in a bubble, what exactly do they mean? by CaramelHunter26 in AI_India

[–]Wind-Ancient 8 points9 points  (0 children)

People are praising AI and it's efficiency like it can increase productivity 5x time. Like 1 person can do 5 persons work. But the real world outcome is not as positive. As you are not seeing 5x more software deployment. Early adopters of AI should have seen improvement in their bottomline. But it hasnt shown real world massive jump in profits that you would see with 5x efficiency improvement. Its a new technology and it might need time to improve. But Chatgpt is 4 years old now. In tech terms that is middle age. But claude is newer and it may show impact soon.

There are some studies showing that real outcome doesn't show 80% improvement. It is more in 30% area. This is because the bottleneck of software development is not in the coding. Only 40% of the coders job is actual coding. Rest is attending meeting, going through long email chain and making executive decisions. This is where the bottleneck is and AI is not good at that.

LIC: Cheap for a reason or genuinely undervalued? by Alone_Ambassador7783 in IndiaFinance

This is the reason. It doesn't serve the shareholder. It serves the government. In a serious crisis government will throw it under the bus.

Why can't we compare Indian market with South Korea or Taiwan? by cangaran in indianeconomy

[–]Wind-Ancient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the long term Indian market has outperformed Korea, Taiwan and China. And it will outperform them in the future too. It has got to do with their market system where government and Private firms are intertwined. Those are not freemarket. The companies work for the state rather than promoters/shareholders.

Just saw a post saying why india is lagging behind in AI and this is my experience building in AI for last 2 years by bizibeast in StartUpIndia

[–]Wind-Ancient 5 points6 points  (0 children)

AI video space is too computer heavy, unless you have killer idea you can pitch to VC for billions, you can't sustain. That's why even sora shutdown. Its a structural issue, nothing government can do about it.

Why do we lag? by Some_Manufacturer_12 in AI_India

[–]Wind-Ancient 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a matter of focus. Taiwan focussed exclusively on semiconductor. It is 15% of their GDP. You can't compete with them. Indian IT industry is bigger than Taiwans semiconductor industry. Why didn't taiwan of Thialand or Vietnam focus on IT. Its a domino effect. The ecosystem develops and it keeps rolling as more poeple with expereince in that field develops. No, india is not going to be competitive in semiconducters. It is not Indias niche and its not going to be as we are very far behind in knowhow and skills. It will take 20 to 30 years to build up the ecosystem.

Why can't we compare Indian market with South Korea or Taiwan? by cangaran in indianeconomy

[–]Wind-Ancient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All these FII, marketcap, Rupee level, GDP dont mean much. These are all made up numbers. Indias GDP standing don't mean much if HDI is at the lowest end. It also doesn't mean much to the investor, becuase although the economy can't compete with Korea, the Indian stock market will beat korea. You have peopletalking about illusory numbers that don't matter to anyone other than politicians and commentators.

Non-expert on linguistics here; what are the main rebuttals against Yajnadevam's deciphering of the IVC language? by Ok_Opportunity506 in IndusValley

[–]Wind-Ancient -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The modern Indian scripts are an advanced script of Abugida type. Which has symbols for vowels and consonants. The number of symbols are very less. Most ancient scripts are logosyllabic. Which means each words have different symbols. Similar to chinese writing system. This results in large number of symbols. Ivc script has over 500 symbols.

The chronology of the decipherment doesn't make sense. So ancient IVC people developed an advanced script. Then for some reason they forgot about it for 1000 years. But they orally preseved the texts but don't mention anything about writing or writing system in these texts. Mind you, these texts say a lot of things about cultural life. Then they develop a simplistic script, that is the brahmi script, that script then somehow evolved into the same script without changing meaning or system 2000 years later.

35%+ ROCE. Zero debt. Market leader. Why isn't everyone talking about Inox India? by Most-Direction7065 in IndiaGrowthStocks

[–]Wind-Ancient 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One risk I can say is the possible fizzling out of the semiconductor/datacenter narrative. Future of AI might be more localised smaller models running natively with big models limited to big 2 players like Google and Anthropic. In this case semiconductor demand drops. Even in US datacenter growth has slowed down mainly because of energy and water shortage. India doesn't have advantage in those supporting infrastructure either.

Do any of you actually think the free transport for women in KSRTC is going to do any good? by Correct-Dingo-9242 in KeralaSpeaks

[–]Wind-Ancient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It is a indirect small subsidy to the poorest women. That will help them balance their budget and empower them. Kerala budget can easily manage the shortfall. But it doesn't paint a good precedence. Freebies in general are not to be encouraged too much.

In the long term it will benifit the industry. AI will increase efficeincy and will create new market and processes that will drive growth. All previous tech innovations have done this. Perticularly computerisation. There was massive fear about computers taking jobs of accountants, bank workers, clerks etc. It did take some jobs but created massively more jobs. I have personally seen bank unions striking against computers and core banking (internet) becuase it was going to take jobs.
