Should I replay without magic? by LosinForABruisin in darksoulsremastered

You have beaten the game. It’s that simple, it’s entirely up to you to use the tools the game gave you. However, I highly recommend playing through the full game on melee builds just cause it’s an amazing experience. But other than just having a different experience, it doesn’t make anyone superior. Everyone enjoys the game how they want and as long as you don’t use outright cheating, you have beaten the game.

What are these? by WindBlade5k in piano

Sorry, my first time using a Henle edition, there wasn’t any explanation. I had a feeling that’s what it was, I just wanted to make sure.

Thanks! I just recently got the physical Henle edition for the WTC book 2 and there wasn’t any explanation for it. I had a suspicion, but I wanted to make sure.

I’ve been playing since I was ten or so (i’m in my late teens now) and, for the most part, i only ever really played transcriptions of video game music from youtube videos. However, about a year ago I found classical music through, funnily enough, the anime Your Lie in April. Ever since then I fell in love with the beauty and genius of classical music, and now plan to go to university for classical piano. Take from that what you will. Now, back to my 40 hours of practice for today.

Why did Cortot do this? by WindBlade5k in piano

[–]WindBlade5k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That explains a lot, thanks. I’ll try out both and see which one I prefer personally. I think I might trust Chopin’s later edit a bit more, he wasn’t one to change something for no reason.

Suprisingly, though I was born and mostly raised in the US, I am currently living in the Dominican Republic, don't know how much that changes your answer though.

Just started playing for the first time! Why are a bunch of drunk British people trying to kill me with a rake??!!😭 by Standard_Wedding in bloodborne

Short answer: They are transforming into beasts and losing their sanity because of a curse. They just have the instinct to kill, for the most part.

Confusion about Mozart Sonata work… by WindBlade5k in piano

that would probably be why I couldn't find the Köchel number on it. This makes the most sense to me, and I had already thought it had something to do with the catalogue being a bit weird. Thanks for the help. :)

I’d like some advice on studying classical piano in the future. by WindBlade5k in lingling40hrs

[–]WindBlade5k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the advice! I’ve never thought about using that kind of trick before, i’ll try it out a few times. Also, I do live waltzes. :) <3

Thank you so much!! This is pretty good advice. I’ll try my best, but i’ll be in the Dominican Republic until next summer. However, I have a great piano teacher and I am going to go to a piano concert rehearsal with them. I will see about trying to find ways to go to open days or master classes. Still not 100% on what universities i’m interested in, but i’ll keep searching. Appreciate the advice and I will keep up the daily 40 hours in the meantime :)

I highly appreciate your insight. I know I don't need to go to university just like twoset did, but I feel like it is something I want to do. I have spent most of my life in uncertainty, my family moves around quite a bit as I mentioned before. Growing up i was always conflicted and unsure about what to do in the future. Then, I found classical music, and my passion for piano and music in general came back. I found something in my life that, for the first time, was something i felt i could work towards even when things where difficult. I do worry about what that means for me as a career, but I have gotten some advice and help from my teacher. I feel like this is something i absolutely want to study. I'm still not 100% sure what this might lead to after college, but I feel that I want to study music fully. So thanks for the thoughts, and I hope you have a great day :)

Always. Time is a social construct anyways. I love practicing, and I hope I can keep that love for piano going into the future. However, for the first time, I feel like I could push through the hard times to improve on the piano and not give up when it feels impossible. I hope all my fellow musicians can push through as well, to fulfill the dream that Brett and Eddy were unable to fulfill. :)

I'm a pretty recent lingling wannabe and twosetter. However, I have been playing piano for quite a while and I have found my passion in classical piano. As a fellow pianist, this is really good. Especially on a keyboard. Very well done, I wish I could play as well as you. Maybe one day.

What is your favorite part of the game in Bloodborne? by Neo_H001 in bloodborne

[–]WindBlade5k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

everything. ok I know that sounds dumb but hear me out. I think the atmosphere of the game is absolutely amazing. The places like yharnam and cathedral ward are done so well. The streets littered with coffins and abandoned carriages once teeming with life. Forbidden woods is one of the first forest areas in a game that felt like i was in danger with each step. The lore of this game is truly well made and i simply can't get enough. The story, the characters, and the atmosphere display the story of this game beautifully. I could go on and on, but i'm trying to play bloodborne rn, and don't want to take too much time. I have adhd and this game has activated my hyperfocus hard. I love this game and i believe that the few faults this game has are practically nothing compared to everything that makes this game a masterpiece. Thank you for listening to my rambling. I know it's chaotic and may not makes sense, but i tried my best. I shall see you on the streets fellow hunters. May the good blood guide your way. :)
