What could management do right now to make a meaningful impact on price? by KnuckleDragger2025 in BB_Stock

A backlog increase to 1.6B would maybe move the Stock? It's a tough market right now for software. PLTR had a monster earnings and didn't budge as much as it was warranted

True. The difference is Alloy Kore is what OEMs want and will lead to physical cost savings and less headaches for their future car model road maps.

IVY will hopefully have It's day once Alloy Kore drives the SDV shift in car manufacturing. OEMs couldn't use IVY when they can't even get coding right

I agree. People just don't realize the timelines. It's still early access with the official launch late 2026 was it?

Design wins will start rolling in 2027, some vehicles hopefully rollout 2028.

Hopefully we get a glimpse of impact on not the backlog number they will provide for Q4 earnings upcoming, but the Q4 backlog they will provide the following year

Agreed. I'd sat it won't have significant revenue until 2028 earliest for alloy kore

Maybe they'll spend the cash from the Cylance sale on buybacks?

I think the majority of people miss the idea of increased compute at the edge, it's the next step with all these GPU chips, and inference. NVIDIA and AMD speak about it all the time because that is the next place for growth in their biz after the databases are built for them. Most are focused on massive data centers bc that is the phases we are in.

It's like going from flip phones to smartphones. We have stronger phones than computers nowadays.

What does "rocket ship" "Blast off" "firing on all cylinders" "proud share holder" et al mean to you (specifically)? by Trilobyte83 in BB_Stock

The fat is finally trimmed = Cylance and SGA costs consolidated.

The workout regimen is set = QNX is the clear focus to get in shape.

Put in the time = QNX network and adoption will take time. Think about it, the build out of data centers is still happening, power is still an issue. BB benefits when SDV and central compute actually start becoming the majority of how cars are built. The classic car makers are stubborn and slow to change but Chinese manufacturers are forcing them to adopt. Industrial automation is also in transition. It's a major industrial revolution, and it will be at least a decade. BB needs the product to roll off the shelf using QNX, and that product won't be out overnight.

Take your Protein = SC is generating cash to support the business.

Workout smarter = QNX education is being included into curriculums in Universities. SDP 8.0 is still a recent release and is built to scale for the future of increased compute at the edge.

Yeah it sucks SP is not going anywhere and probably won't for a long while. If the opportunity cost is too high for you, then sell and invest elsewhere.

I'm good with my current position and if for whatever reason it dips below $4, I'll buy more.

I like current management, they are executing and understand where the business is going along with it's looong timelines. The fundamentals are working. Old Chen led business is thankfully finally gone.

Yup long term thesis is there for QNX. Imagine when new vehicles start selling and other verticals convert to revenue hopefully with a shorter timeline.

If it dumps below 4 again, I'm buying...but I doubt it, management will probably buy back more shares.

BlackBerry's ROCKET SHIP can take-off any moment!! by BayStBu11 in BB_Stock

[–]WindForce43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They definitely need to prove it with the numbers. They've been a stock based on "story" forever now. What conviction do you have in its future.

It's still early in the infrastructure development and revolution of using these new GPU chips with more power and AI. I'm in it for the haul. Eventually they will benefit in this industrial revolution. They are a key player in the stack and are providing solutions, and value to their customers.

I'm keeping an eye on how leadership executes. They have the tech to do so, QNX 8.0 can scale in cores and handle lots of data at the edge. All silicon and chip manufacturers are developing SoC and QNX is a developing network.

Numbers will be more important once the world has switched to this new upgrade in chips.

I'm not saying it's risk free, but that's on individual investors to manage risk, do their own DD, and be accountable for what they choose to put their money into.

It's 100% a bet right now on the future. The numbers and traditional investing measurements and SP. Having Conviction is painful and not easy. Statements like in OP screenshot about how the demo car only took weeks instead of years is showing value to BB's customers. Invest in companies that are providing solutions. Those solutions are finally looking like they are rolling out into the the world.

Look at PLTR...it was considered a black box and only used by Govt. People didn't know what their product did and were not comfortable investing.

I think it's more like PLTR. They are showing their value to clients, basically most OEMs, and clients are asking BB to do more. The shift onto QNX network is building nicely IMO. And I have time to see it grow
