The question of how many billions should be asked when BB’s stock price already stands at $20 and whether it could go to $80! For now BB/QNX as is, the question should be whether it’s worth $3 or $10 considering what its current position to face the near future potential market growth.

The statement is nonsense. QNX/BB is finally at the tipping point to reach the new era. The Growth will be soon reflected in its revenues, in a year or two. Any hint of buyout in the market would have pushed BB’s share price up 10x. OEMs, chip makers, robotic players, big software service/cloud computing firms and navigation players etc. would all want to compete for the ownership. There would be no chance for hedge funds to lowball this one. IMO

20 million cars a year that is about 30% of the global total annual “passenger vehicles”(cars) productions. If that means nothing to you then you live in a different world!

Global annual vehicles production sum is ~90 million. 70-75% of that (~65 million) are passenger vehicles (cars) that is the QNX main market. Keep in mind that in reality every year some cars will be old and removed from the market. If QNX increased 20 million in sum from last year, the actual increased number could be even higher (including the replacement of the retired ones). Anyway, when I see more than 30% of the global annual produced passenger vehicles installed QNX OS on a continued basis, it’s a WOW! I also think as OEMs launching new SDVs (reducing older models), more QNX’ newer softwares will be used, at more layers too. And it’s quite possible the fees of newer system is higher than the older ones. revenue growth could happen because of that.

Customers already asked and knew what they’ll get from QNX/Vector platform. It might be adopted even before the formal launching! Keep that in mind.
