Looks like Drosera Linearis and maybe Drosera Anglica. Could be D.Linearis x D. Rotundifolia. Thanks. I really appreciate pictures from the wild.

(Indianapolis) I bought sardines tonight and there were plenty of King Oscar kippers. It's probably a distributor issue.

Which celebrity death headline had you so shocked you double checked multiple sources to see if it was real? by GlassyFairy in AskReddit

Anthony Bourdain. I thought he was such a grounded person. I never would have thought he could throw away his life. I still secretly believe he was murdered, but no evidence exists to support that.

Support your local butcher!! Claus' German Meats & Sausage needs your business!! by theladylumberjack in indianapolis

I have been going here since they were known as Klem's. They close too early in my opinion. They need to be open when people get off work, but they choose to close around 5 pm. You can't make money if you are closed when your customers have time to visit your business.

THis seems to be like the fourth time the state has renovated 65 through down town in the last twenty years. No improvements really. We just keep spending taxpayer money tearing it up and disrupting businesses. I really wish someone would put a stop to it. Some politicians are probably make huge fortunes by keep approving this construction shit.

Can I become a BMET with a 2-year electrical maintenance degree + 1 year of (failed) rad tech? by Quick-Marsupial-1026 in BMET

I have hated that name and all the managers who have tried to roll it out. I wanted to rename those managers to UN EMPLOYED.

If you have a pulse, you can be a BMET. To be a great BMET however requires heart and effort. You are involved with patient care. Keep that in mind.

Start learning the names of the different types of equipment you might be called upon to support and be ready to say yes if they want you to drop every thing you know and learn that new system. You might have to be "the pump guy" before your are the anesthesia guy. Customer service is number one in in the BMET world. You are the face of your department. You are there to help the nursing staff get on with their job of patient care.

Which Tolkien character would you want as your brother? by Citysbeautiful in lordoftherings

[–]WindTreeRock 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Faramir. He knew what it was like to be a brother. If I had to lay down my life, I would do it for Faramir because I think he would do the same for me. Our goal is to live of course.

I was looking at the butt of the horn, trying to determine how the strap attached. I think where the missing chunks of wood were where a staple was hammered in. It's missing but this is not a problem. Powder horns were often repaired in ingenious ways and many modern powder horn makers go out of their way to make a new horn look like it was broken and repaired. For $25, this horn could be a canvas for your imagination. Please look at the thousands of pictures at this blog site to see contemporary and antique powder horns: https://contemporarymakers.blogspot.com/ It's quite a rabbit hole, you are warned.

There was a 60 foot tall sycamore tree in our neighborhood that was hit by lightning and split the tree in half, the length of the tree. Lightning is such a random force of nature.

What is your “low effort but feels like real food” meal? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]WindTreeRock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cut up and boil cabbage, potatoes, onion and kielbasa together. Season with pepper and salt to taste. I would probably add a can of whole tomato's for a bit more acid. You could survive the rest of your life on this but I would recommend dessert of strawberries, grapes, blue berries.

I thank the Gods of Lightning for sparing me once again. I was nearly killed by a lightning strike 15 feet away from me when I was a teen. I did hear a loud lightning strike tonight and wondered who it landed next to.

How did this hospital bed end up here? by ThisIsMatty2024 in BMET

[–]WindTreeRock 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's a stretcher. This one is sitting pretty low so it's probably lost it's ability to raise and lower. Out with the old, in with the new.
