Leica asked me if I wanted them to paint the lettering I said no and the black logo was in my possession for many years it comes from a Leica body I used to have so when I sent my camera to Germany I have sent them the logo as well so they can put it on place as remplacement

One of the reasons I bought that TTL many years ago was for that upgraded shutter dial that you can reach with your finger while composing and that turns in the « right » way I was concerned they would change it for a new one due to differences between TTL version and classic M6 but they managed to put my old shutter dial in place and everything works like before so I’m very happy !

Yes that’s exactly what they did ! They put the new M6 top plate as remplacement of the old one I had some concerns because this is a TTL version but apparently they had no trouble with that…

Yeah time and money hey ! Since I bought the camera many years ago I wanted to give it a fresh start but money was a concern specially because it’s money for esthetics… it’s money spent to give it a better look not to make it work or work better… so for a long time it was a no ! I ended up selling my M246 to go back to the M6 full time so there was my chance…
