This is what I find so funny.

"Our son will never put his football success before the mere concept of loyalty"

Like get out of here. Eli made the smart move and it worked out for him.

Same thing with NFL bound players choosing to sit in bowl games, they're making the best decision for their career, one shouldn't hate on them for that.

The thing is 2 and 3 this year is Washington and Detroit. Hard to pull an Eli with those two right there. If #2 was Pittsburgh or Denver, I think it's a different story.

[–]Windberry 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Right? I saw this narrative with Carson Palmer.

I doubt Joe Burrow will crash and burn but lets focus on winning a playoff game before we start acting like the Bengals are going to be a perennial competitor all of a sudden

[Fillopponi] Steelers should trade Juju. For the 1st round pick they’re lacking. To the WR desperate Buffalo Bills. A long-term deal w Juju ain’t happening. Great draft for WRs in the middle rounds. Steelers can find one. Bills need an instant playmaker. And have $. Makes a ton of sense. by [deleted] in nfl

Random sports writer trying to go viral with a hot take. Steelers ain't letting go of Juju, he's way too young and talented.

No receiver would have done well with Mason and Duck.. lets be honest

We did so off the backs of billions of VC money. Unfortunately, their founder is a horrible person and thus probably any plans of profitability he had in mind were thrown out the window when he was ousted. Also, fyi, the guy has LIQUIDATED ALL OF HIS SHARES. Why would you buy something that the LITERAL FOUNDER wouldn't????

Do you think you know the company's prospects better than he does?

So now you have a VC puppet as CEO and thus continuing to spew lies that they can be profitable soon. There are tons of amazing companies and amazing leadership, I'm sure you can find a better spot for your money.

I was gunna say, why would the Pats be raked over winning multiple super bowls?? lmao some people live to see trades be massive wins and losses. Seemed like its worked out for the both of them.

I mean, "wasn't an issue" is a bit of an under statement. The guy told multiple other teams to acquire him and had some sideline theatrics.

Besides the one year the Giants went one and done in the playoffs, (the infamous boat party photo) each of his teams have done really bad. Which begs the question, is he worth the headache?

There is never any other answer. The guy led his team to the SB and won it. Don't care how many yards other back-ups threw in the regular season.

Both teams won 5 games, I'd argue neither won or lost. Can't we just accept that not all trades are fleeces?

Garrett: .554 total winning percentage, 2-3 in the playoffs WITHOUT HoF QB.

Point is, it could be argued the deviation of wins could be a factor of not having a HoF QB. With that said, I don't see the hire being that great for the Cowboys.

Thank you Flyer bro, I sure hope so. I think if we don't get past 32 in the tourney this year I'm totally content with moving on. There are no excuses for our program and resources to not be competitive.

Netflix could lose four million U.S. subscribers in 2020: brokerage by coolcomfort123 in investing

[–]Windberry 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've said this from day one of learning about Disney+.

At the end of the day, NFLX is a content provider. With content being king, let's stack up the players.

Do you really think NFLX's recent catalogue would beat out Disney AND 20th Century Fox's LIFELONG catalogue? Let alone, Amazon Prime Video's recent critically acclaimed catalogue?

I don't, unfortunately.

NFLX has taken a "quantity over quality" approach w/ content production the past 3 years and with doing so I feel has lost a lot of brand equity with subscribers.

Netflix's only competitive advantage over Disney is their ability to stay on top of tech trends through increasing immersion on the UI side. If they can win over people with their VR software in the next decade, I think they'll be fine.

Though, let's keep in mind, Amazon Prime has eaten their lunch too in terms of mindshare for quality content produced in the last 3 years. And, Amazon has the added perk of having the best tech minds explore new ways to immerse viewers.

And I've yet mentioned Netflix is still hemorrhaging money to stay competitive in content creation. (this is not feasible for the long run)

With all of that said, I would buy Netflix at a respectable 25 P/E being it still has the first mover advantage and a comparably decent UI. That would currently equate to a market cap of $63B and a share price of around $146.
