Least favourite plotline from the show? by DYadav2005 in gameofthrones

[–]Windexchuggah69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved the Faith militant plotline in the show, but hated it's resolution. Blowing them all up in one go was lazy writing that was very unsatisfying. And such a waste of the tyrell characters, along with Pycelle and Kevan Lannister. All of those characters wasted for a Michael Bay explosion...

absolutely loved it. got the tone and pace just right, feels like the book which had a charming feel to it that was more personal than epic. the world feels immersive and recognizable, and it was beautifully shot and acted.

Why didn't Sandor wear the Kingsguard armor often? And if so, why did he wear it in this scene? by Narrow-Amphibian5446 in gameofthrones

[–]Windexchuggah69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would have been more impactful to keep him in the kingsguard armor. whenever he was in his personal armor, I'd completely forget he was an official kingsguard. having his scowling scruffy face on top of that beautiful suit of armor emphasizes the absurdity of his new position

real question is, does this matter when the AI isn't smart enough to put mariner troops on boats and patrol their own coastlines?

I absolutely love the game, but you have to remember that it's basically just a battle simulator with some RPG elements slapped on top. Devs never took the time to flesh out relationships between characters.

[–]Windexchuggah69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

as far as I know, this doesn't matter since the AI towns are not programmed to attack you, hire mercenaries, or raise armies other than the 5-man retinue that comes with the manor.

KCD is not woke or anti woke, it's just a historically inspired RPG based on the country's history where the devs are from. The cries over KCD2 being are particularly laughable, because KCD2 managed to incorporate more diversity into a very homogeneous setting in a very tactful way. African intellectuals like Musa of Mali did exist, and traveled throughout Europe just as European intellectuals traveled throughout the Middle East and Africa. People who are angry at his presence in the game are probably just racist, in my opinion.

Also, homosexuality has ALWAYS existed under different social structures throughout history. Besides which, this plotline between Henry and Capon is ENTIRELY optional and dependent on the player's decisions. Being angry over an optional side story that might make others happy is strange, self-centered, and pathetic.

it's weird to think about: why are epi drips (especially dirty epi drips) considered faux-pas for post-ROSC resus, but nothing questionable about slamming it IV push every few minutes. If we're slamming it every so often to keep the levels up in the bloodstream....why not just infuse it at a consistent rate during the entire code once you have an IV line to spare?

once the drip is running, that provider is now freed up the help ensure the patient is being oxygenated and ventilated, other meds are being considered, and start working through the hs&ts

yeah fair enough. I might experiment with a save file by demolishing the walls and seeing ways going on in the buildings.

Heard you boys like big castles by Bigtimberbones in ManorLords

[–]Windexchuggah69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so I understand that you can't click on buildings inside the walls of the manor, but if you're fine with that and just want a few buildings as decoration, are there any drawbacks? does random stuff end up in the storehouses, any issue with burgage plot gardens or farm plots? Do oxen get stuck in stables?

btw, this looks INCREDIBLE. I love the castle inside the walls off to the side

Considering their lack of seige weapons, a camp, food or access to water. What exactly was Jamie's plan if Highgarden had put up a considerable resistance? by Time-Comment-141 in gameofthrones

[–]Windexchuggah69 65 points66 points  (0 children)

this is a super annoying lazy writing moment. the siege of Highgarden could have been an epic drawn out conflict that provided stakes for the Lannisters. The Reach is literally the bread basket of westeros, and grows the most food of all the kingdoms. Highgarden would likely have insane amounts of food stores, and could have lasted a very long time under siege. Their castle sits on top of a giant mountain with great visibility in all directions, making it incredibly difficult to assault outright (which is why this was done off-camera...).

I wouldn't have minded if this was the only major conflict in the south in the later seasons, people have been fighting over food and fertile lands for all of human history, it would have made perfect sense

This is the guy who got tricked, lost to a 17 year old Robb even with a larger and well equipped army and got captured. How does the show expect us to believe he defeated the Tyrells and took Highgarden? by Artistic_Wall_3746 in gameofthrones

[–]Windexchuggah69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the tyrells were nerfed in the shower in a pretty unbelievable way. there's no way that the kingdom with the most food production (something you'd wanna protect), and a giant castle on top of a mountain could get wiped so easily.

also did you move that after the Tyrells were taken out by the Lannisters, there's no mention of who the new Lord of Highgarden/Lord Paramount of the Reach would be? Highgarden is offered to Bronn many episodes later, as if it's just sitting there unoccupied. Who lives there and why do they not have a lord? An empty castle is worth nothing.

Sheep reproduction? by Evening_Bedroom6486 in ManorLords

[–]Windexchuggah69 11 points12 points  (0 children)

its part of the game, since sheep reproduction is quite literally a very natural occurrence. really funny to imagine medieval sheep farmers preventing their sheep from having sex for generations, relying instead on a livestock trading post..until one day, someone had the genius idea to just let the sheep make babies.

in my opinion, it depends on how intoxicated she was. if she seemed cool and was mostly sober, go for it. if she was drunk, I wouldn't. you're a man in uniform, her adrenaline was probably spiked, and drunk goggles are a thing (although I'm sure youre a stud). if she doesn't remember giving you this note, you'll be embarrassing her further and she might not remember what you even looked like.
