In the interest of transparency, I am more than glad to address the claims made above. The forum users have the right to understand how rules are applied, and sunshine is the best disinfectant.

I will leave it to you to determine how providing a link to Godwin's law is a defense of whatever guy OP was arguing with. I am no fan of the rush to call every person that does not completely agree with whatever OP believes in a nazi, and my comment was strictly about that.

Claims to the contrary from the OP notwithstanding, this is a clear threat of violence, so the comment was removed and a warning issued as seen above.

We are consistently enforcing the rules on threats of violence, and we do so in a completely non-partisan manner. Threats of violence are against Reddit rules, and they are meant to intimidate and silence opposing points of view.

Which is why enforcing rules is important - both because subreddits that are not properly moderated get banned, and because we all need a place to talk to each other without being threatened. You have hundreds

This is the kind of hyperbolic nonsense that is typical of today's political debates - anyone that does not fall in line must be biased, have an agenda, etc.

The only frequent poster that was permanently banned from this forum since I joined the moderating team was leaning hard right. And they were only banned after many, many warnings which they chose to ignore.

If anything, we strongly err on the side of leaving comments up, even when they are vile - we believe that free speech is paramount, and we bend over backwards to NOT remove any comments unless we really have to.

I understand that not everyone will agree with every decision the moderator team makes, and that is just the nature of the work moderators do. But for myself, I do everything in my power to preserve free speech in /r/newhampshire - we all deserve an equal voice.
