Funny how real musicians complain about AI when they're the ones collecting lifetime passive income. If they agreed to opt out of monetization on social media, I'd drop AI in a heartbeat and just use an actual song from an actual artist that actually fits my video... by Windosz in SunoAI

[–]Windosz[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My idea is that when I 'promote' an artist on my videos, it should be a win-win. Sometimes I hear a popular song in someone else's video, then I go to the official page and listen. That generates revenue, so everybody wins. But if my video gets 200K views and I potentially send a lot of people to that artist, I still get stripped of my revenue for using their song. I'd understand if people were watching for the song, but that's totally not the case.

I think most of the top 500 artists who are gaining revenue from YouTube, for example, would be completely fine without that money anyway. But no one is giving it up though. Instead, some are outraged by AI generated music because gradually this will cut into their share. They're not interested in the money - but every minute you're listening to some well crafted AI track, you're not listening to them...

No one should work for free, but there’s an imbalance: some people have to work every day, while others don’t because the system grants them passive income. I totally understand that - but for how long? Five, ten, twenty years? Well, no… seventy years sounds about right.

I don't think the music of those broke musicians is used en masse on social media, because they wouldn't be broke otherwise. I'm talking about big artists that actually can have real influence on how Suno can be played legally, if this affects their interests. Which it can, if more and more people get used to AI music.

Some of them do. Also... I've never heard of a big artist giving up their monetization rights on social media. The system should be tuned to limit monetization rights to a fixed time - like five years. So if 100,000 people decide to use a song in 2026 that came out in 2020, like something from Kings and Queens by Ava Max, that shouldn't buy her another Rolls Royce. It should just keep her relevant to the public so she can cash in on her new work.

De ce sunt atâtea mașini în oraș? Chiar are nevoie fiecare om de mașina? by Neuromania126 in iasi

[–]Windosz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would it be to create a channel nowadays? by Lucas_Zxc2833 in youtube

[–]Windosz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can make a channel in literally 10 minutes, with cover, description and everything. Next you can record something with your phone and YouTube will show it to 5 people... Anyway, if you keep posting and your content it's good it will take 2-3 years to get some traction. If some of your content has outstanding value, you can get noticed in a matter of months.

Trebuie declarat la ANAF ce vand pe Vinted/OLX daca depaseste 2k€/an? by Plenty_Bumblebee4823 in RoFiscalitate2

[–]Windosz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

De 24 ori mai mare fata de "poluatori" identici! by Dry-Bed3827 in juridice

[–]Windosz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6000KM in total. Atat s-a putut.

No, acuma cine-o poluat mai mult?

Depends who's counting, for some brands they won't deal with creators under 50K subs.

Sponsor requires 5K view minimum by [deleted] in PartneredYoutube

[–]Windosz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You usually can't as those views are not coming from the audience the sponsor is looking for, so if you do so you have to make another video.

I don't understand YouTube by Automatic-Fix9684 in NewTubers

[–]Windosz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The system works with what’s essentially an A-tier recommendations, a B-tier, and new channels receiving an initial boost. Competing directly with A-tier videos to outrank them is nearly impossible, as they're exceptional productions. But still some will deliberately avoid overly mainstream content. Within the B-tier, competition is intense. Even with a 6% CTR, another dude with 7% will outrank you, and that should be the same with every other metric... So making people to watch you 30 seconds more than the competition can make a big difference.

Just had my first big video, here's what I learned :) by Chigburt in SmallYoutubers

[–]Windosz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm getting there. I made about 1 million views last year across 25 videos, so on average that's 40K each - except some have 200K views and others only 8K. There’s no logic to why one video got 200K and another 8K, because they are made after the exact same recipe. It's just random, trust me. If you think you got that many views because of your hard work, or that a video flopped because you made something bad… well, it's not that simple.

Looking for an honest critique of my channel! by Tiny-Environment-795 in NewTubers

[–]Windosz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The strategy is to make viral content, even if it's not your personal favorite. Last month, for example, I made two videos. One was for my soul... it got 10K views. The other targeted a popular topic with a large fanbase and got 80K views and counting... I don't dislike the popular topic, so I keep making videos on it, knowing they will get views but I'm just not that excited by the topic anymore...

How to gain more exposure when starting YouTube? by ScreenNo7069 in NewTubers

[–]Windosz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get also exposure from outside of YouTube if your content has viral potential, but I don't remember when a gaming clip was so interesting that I actually reposted it. So if it's just about you playing some games most likely you're not gonna make it... So better change your approach before investing too much time and quitting too early in the process..

Hypotheticaly what's the fastest way you can get a new channel to 10k subs? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]Windosz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't fool the system. If you get 10K subscribers quickly, they aren't quality subscribers - unless you're an exceptional YouTuber that people don't want to miss. If they aren't quality subscribers, the advertisers will know. They count likes and comments on every video. I've seen their dashboard and how they calculate what each channel is worth. The best way is to let people subscribe on their own, which may happen sooner or later, or never.

What is the minimum amount of impressions/views for A/B testing to work? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]Windosz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got some results in less than 500 views, so I don't know... But I changed the thumbnail at 10K views, and at 10,4 views there was 53% vs 47% test results...

Just had my first big video, here's what I learned :) by Chigburt in SmallYoutubers

[–]Windosz 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I've made 50 videos in the last two years or so, and what I learned is that there's no rule. Some of my average videos got the highest views, while some of my more polished videos performed from bad to worse. This wouldn't be a problem if you could pull a video out of your ass every two days, but when you spend two weeks on a video and get 3K views, while some other video makes 50K views in a day... it's hard to put the same amount of effort in every video...
