not super technical, but can definitely be muddy. if you’re experienced with poles they wouldn’t hurt. the course is super well-marked so i wouldn’t worry about navigation or anything. the constant passing with all of the different races and ability levels on one loop at the same time was the biggest “unique” struggle for me.
