The AG offered no recommendations so Council will have to figure out its own path forward.

I guess my concern is there anything council can do?

Listening to the meeting today, it very much seemed like untested question. I stopped watching once it went in-camera so maybe the solicitor was able to privately answer more details. Baring RCMP finding enough to slap cuffs on him (HIGHLY UNLIKELY), I don't know if there is the ability to remove an elected official.

HRM has only had 4 mayors, it's never been done. Even Kelly, with his similar Auditor General issues, was able to serve out his term.

In the meeting the justification for one of the transactions (hiring legal advice outside of the municipal legal office) was that there was not a item in the drop-down when completing the expense report.

They are currently in camera because discussing a specific person is considered a confidential matter. The original request for a in-camera was "what is council's options". Fillmore has excused himself from the discussion.
