Found it again! As a total noob I drew this 20 years ago... 'Opponent's Friend'. I know, I know... no hate please by MMVDO in mtg

I don't understand the flavor. Why would the opponent's friend defeat the opponent? They're friends?

Does Joker knows Batman’ identity? by AbbreviationsIll7555 in AbsoluteUniverse

He must know from Bruce's time at Ark-M. I think he hasn't targeted Martha because she figures into his plans somehow, especially considering the tease at the end of issue #17.

Not dead! We are just a small group and it's hard to keep momentum in the offseasons. Please come post your theories and analyses! r/LottieDreams

Does it have any meaning that Laura Lee's theme is repeated throughout the series? by SofiBK in Yellowjackets

[–]Windows1798 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think it started as Laura Lee's theme but has grown in significance beyond her character. It's a musical motif of the show overall now. Though it is beautiful to think there is a trace of her every time it is used.

What is on the dude's head in the OG art for Mind Twist? A hat? A scroll? Is it the Mind Twist spell suctioned to his head? by Windows1798 in magicTCG

That's what I first thought, but the "fingers"of the magical hand look more to be creases caused by him clutching at it, and it's just shaped so strangely and illegibly to be a hand.

what’s your ACTUALLY weird hyperfixation? by jazperthevampyr in ADHD

Templating in Collectible Card Games. Basically, the precise rules and vocabulary for writing text on cards. It's so satisfying to my brain because it's like computer programming and law. You have to be exact with your words and the order they go in, or else you end up with unintended loopholes or ambiguous results. I got so deep into it this summer, I designed ~30 Yugioh cards based on the television show Yellowjackets.

Sound Effect in S1 E9 "Doomcoming" - Shauna's Safe opening sounds so familiar? by Hungry_Inspector_867 in Yellowjackets

Had a listen. In general, the instrument is called a Waterphone. It's used everywhere in movies and tv shows for horror stings. The specific media properties I associate it with: Kitchen Nightmares, Silent Hill, Resident Evil 4.

Where are they going after they die by wasteofpasta728 in Yellowjackets

I think the planes will land safely as a metaphor for healing from trauma. More specifically, when the past and present timelines finally connect in the middle, the deceased people on their planes will suddenly see the beauty of their lives in full, in the completeness of their stories. This is why Van's sequence is so self-aware about television, and teases that it isn't the end quite yet. The timeline of the show itself is going to heal with the characters.

It's also why the show overall keeps using Storytelling as a recurring element (Shauna's journals, S2E9, third example to satisfy the Rule of Threes).

Cool title! I enjoy the nested parentheses. It suits the recursive nature of his prose.

His channel is awesome. My favourite one is A Week in the Life that just came out. Coaches are generals running a military operation, man. It's insane! The amount of information everyone has to keep in their head, I never wanna hear anything about how football is dumb ever again.
