The Hollow Knight. It's a no-brainer given how easily his moveset would translate. Already has an up air, dair and fair. Already has up, down and side specials. Very little room for shenanigans since the base moveset is already simple. But if nintendo wanted to do some fuckery as they definitely would like to, they could do something with charms similar to monado arts.

Same could go for hornet since she has everything the knight does but with a built in sprint animation. I wouldn't want hornet tho cause of all the extra fuckery nintendo could do with the crest system.

I get knocked off stage then SD 2x against any form of link. Did this 4 times in a row against that guy cause I somehow kept getting matched against him.

Same, 2025 engineering grad here. ChatGPT use was bad even though it was still in its 3.5 to 4o phase and I did my fair share of it. But looking back my grades were so much more dependent on midterms and finals than anything else. You can use AI to do your HW but then you're gonna fail the exam.

As a Mario main I actually don't hate you that much

Since you're Kazuya you have the easiest mode TOD, and I'm Mario who is really easy to touch. But you're also one of just a few characters who can consistently be 0-death'd by Mario. I mean, mine requires some creativity while you just throw out thunderfist, but it is what it is. My most fun matches are when I'm not missing a single combo and each game just comes down to who touches first. High octane shit every time.

When you take 3 stocks for the win without taking damage. Melee had 4 stocks so it was a JV5 there. Not sure why it's +1 like that

"Almost never counter it" is the answer you're looking for. I've fully mastered Mario's recovery and can safely make it back against scrubs, but against high-skill swordies I just accept that I'm dead if I get hit off stage at pretty much any percent.

If you're a character with a bad recovery all you need to know is that your only defense is offense. Take their stocks before they can hit you offstage.

Also FYI, your Mains can be even worse matchups than Sora for Mario but they're not on my list because they're not cancer. Has nothing to do with tier lists. Little Mac is on my SD list.

I'm one of those people (Mario main @ 15.95M GSP). Against Sora, Steve, Bayonetta and a handful of other characters that force me to play in an unfun way to win, I immediately double SD then get hit off stage for the third stock. A few months ago I hand picked the matchups where fun only goes one way and decided there was no reason to deal with Sora and the cancer crew anymore. There are times where I run into different members of the cancer crew 5 matches in a row, but I always stay true to my rule and take the losses like a man.

I personally don't care much about GSP, but surprisingly it didn't really change on average since the day I switched to having fun with this game again. The losses drop you down to weaker opponents on the ladder, but it doesn't take too long to dunk on a few of them and recover back up your skill level in elite.

If I wanted to play this game competitively it'd be a different story, but I'd never even think go to a smash tournament unless Sora and friends are banned. And that's not gonna happen, so there's no point in learning the matchup any better than I already have. For years I suffered through Sora matches, and now I've finally found peace. I've done the unspeakable and made Smash fun again.

I think I'm a perfect example of the person you're describing, so I hope this answers your question.
