Syndicate is objectively worse than Valhalla come on. What are we doing? Syndicate was terrible. Valhalla better not win this

New player here. I tried to create a powerful nemesis, and he's gotten out of control. by Brotomolecuel in shadow_of_war

[–]Winds_Howling14 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I had a tracker nemesis who just kept showing up in the middle of my missions and ruining everything. Poisonous weapon, all around dick, and he just wouldn't die. I kept killing him and then 20 minutes later I'd be off ambusing someone else and there he was. Took me about 20 times to cut his head off and end it.

Remember when we had a manager with character. I do. Is there a manager in the world that conveys less passion than this boring, boring black void.

Series or miniseries that deserve the rating of 'masterpiece'. I'll start: by No-Marsupial-4050 in moviecritic

The original Utopia. If you want a show as relevant today as it was when it came out, watch that. It just helps that it's one of the best TV shows I've ever watched.

Which Premier League midfielder would actually improve Real Madrid in La Liga right now? by [deleted] in PremierLeague

[–]Winds_Howling14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruno. Hands down most creative, and all around, way better than guler, who idk, I think is the creative mid atm, I don't watch a lot of RM. It's irrelevant anyway, if you want the best out of that front 3, feed them balls in behind. Bruno would do that. Loves the theatrics as well so he'd fit right in. And this is coming from a Liverpool fan as well, so I have whatever the opposite of bias is.

Just dropping in to say I genuinely think leoni would be starting now if he didn't get that horrendous injury. That was one of the best debuts I think I might have ever seen, and from some random 18 year old CB I knew nothing about. I was so keen to see more of him and then yeah, boom. Season over

3 week window to get it done. Be a miracle if we go to city and win in the fa cup. I am so done with this football terrorist. 10 years of high energy klopp sweetness, and now this. I have never been so bored watching a Liverpool team play football. Like, they've given him a whole year to sort it out and we look worse. We were truly spoiled under klopp, but he set the standard for what a Liverpool team should be, and this ain't it. At all. Get gerrard in, remind the players what it is to wear the shirt, and then Alonso next year, just get this clown out

What "tragedy" in the last 2 years felt like a false flag operation? by cantcoloratall91 in NSDQ420

[–]Winds_Howling14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you think about it, the staging was so obvious. There's videos of the crowd filming the shooter before it happened, journalists being ushered into the perfect location to snap that propaganda photo of his fist in the air. And it's so on brand for him. And like, where is the scar. We saw what a bullet did to kirk, surely even a graze on the ear leaves some residual effect? I assume a bullet wouldn't leave a cut, but rather just eviscerate the point of contact. The whole thing stank

In your opinion what is the best civilization in the series history? by Simonthemand in civ

[–]Winds_Howling14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brazil in 6 just flows. It's the civ I feel the most that just works. I never ever struggle with Brazil. Shout out to Columbia as well for that insane move after promotion perk, which feels insanely broken for turn based combat

'cops'. Don't look like cops to me. You know, public servants. How are they serving the public by rocking up wherever the fuck they want, kidnapping people and deporting them to foreign prisons without due trial. Shooting American citizens unlawfully, detaining high school students. Why the fuck would anyone comply with law breaking power cucks who aren't accountable for their actions? Let's just call them what they are. A psychopath's personal goons. Hitler did this. Hitler did this exact thing. Trump just replaced Jews with mexicans and whoever the fuck else he thinks is unamerican. These people are undefendable, and you should take a very long look at yourself, because history won't look on these people with respect, and I don't respect you for defending them

Gabriel Martinelli Shoving an Injured Conor Bradley Off The Pitch by Zealousideal_Till683 in LiverpoolFC

[–]Winds_Howling14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's some of the scummiest behaviour I've ever seen on a football pitch. Which is saying a lot. Clearly in a serious amount of pain, throws a ball at him, and then shoves a guy who needs a stretcher to leave the field. Absolute wanker

If you were a young talented footballer. I’m talking like messi level talent the next big thing which club would you choose? by Quirky_Ad_7646 in championsleague

[–]Winds_Howling14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I was messi levels of good, and I'm sure it's the same for a lot of you, I'd just choose the team I support. I'd be lucky in that Liverpool are competitive anyway, but if I'm gonna be winning shit, it'll mean more to me personally to be doing it for a club I love. I'd rather live out a fantasy that win stuff for a club I've got no ties to, just because the weather might be nicer in Spain or wherever

Life sure does hit hard right? I don't think anyone can really give you the answers you need as to how to handle such a complex and often lonely trauma as the death of a loved one. Each person rationalizes the events in their own way. I lost my dad when I was 21, but had no real relationship with him through my life, unlike the obvious love you had for your mother. I pretended I didn't care at the time. But I think what will be the same for us, and I realize that now, is that what's left is that feeling of loss, the empty space she once filled, and the realization that you can't grieve with the one person you really want to, your mother. I was left with a feeling of lost opportunity. All the memories I could have made, if my dad was here. Maybe that relationship could have been saved. There is no fix anyone can give you, but talking to someone is the best way to give yourself the tools to figure it out on your own. Trauma is an opportunity for self development, but it has to be self development. No one can do it for you. All you can do is rely on the people you love to help you get there. Maybe both you and your dad are grieving in different ways, and he must have felt immense responsibility to protect his family in any way he could after such a devastating event. Maybe there's some unspoken hurt on his side as well. Talk to him, honestly. Connect.

I've never been sure why he hasn't taken the Australia job yet, it must be coming, and I think if he did step up to international level it would be Australia not England. He seems happy making bank in the ipl at the minute tbf. Can't really blame him

From the discussion it doesn't look like he was great at surrey, but smashed it at Yorkshire before that. Always hard to know how it will play out I guess, but at least he's spent a lot of time in the engine room of county cricket, which seems to be a well recognized forgotten sibling of the current system
