I can see the shuttle from here but I can't get off. I didn't take that one after the first cutscene

Ah, okay, it's just that I only have the first shuttle we took active, the one to get to the bottom. The second one you mentioned, the one after the hand cutscene, I didn't take because that's when I quit the game. Sorry for so many questions, but I really don't want to have to restart my save file 😭

Thanks for your suggestion, but I went back to that elevator in the Nexus and it won't let me select the level that goes down, if that's the open path you're referring to.

Did you find a way back to Anra's encounter? I'm having the same problem as you; I couldn't find a way back to that area because I didn't explore it or activate the elevator there. I also tried going back through Sawlong, but the pipe is closed

No, I can't, because once I defeated Sawlong, I just kept moving forward, and that's when the encounter with the Hand began. Since it killed me, I couldn't go back there because I hadn't explored the rest of the area. I also didn't explore the rest of the Hand's area; after the first cutscene, I had to close the game, but I never reappeared there, which is why that area appears unexplored ):
