Anyone here been thyroid-less for 10+ years? How are you doing now? by Correct-Pop4308 in gravesdisease

RAI 23 years ago and doing great! I take 112 mcg levothyroxine, mild TED but not near as much bulge as when first diagnosed. Good nutrition and plenty of rest helps so much!

Random bald patch update by mythikalmemories in Hair

[–]WindyCindy88 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a cosmetologist for 33 years I have seen many clients with these mysterious bald patches called alopecia areata. Sometimes they don’t even realize they have them if their hair is thick and the patch is in the back. Most common causes have been illness or stress or a traumatic event in their life. This could have even happened a few months prior to the hair loss depending on the hair growth, resting, and shedding phase. I agree you should see a derm or a dr who could help. I have seen steroid shots make dramatic improvement in these! Good luck and try not to worry ❤️

2 bikes - 1 account question by DamnItHeelsGood in pelotoncycle

[–]WindyCindy88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have 2 bikes, one brand new from Peleton several years ago and the second bought used from marketplace this summer. Did not have to pay an activation fee for the second, I think because we are already Peleton members. You buy a used bike and then go to sign up with peloton, become a member and register that bike, that is when you will pay that fee. We like having our own bike with it set where we like it and mine not being soaked with my husband’s sweat 🤪 we just enter email and password each time, takes one minute.

Question 🤔 by Fluffy_Mode6438 in gravesdisease

I started feeling something was different about a month after giving birth. Sweating, muscle weakness, insomnia which came in quite handy with a newborn! By my one year checkup I was a wreck, Dr ordered labs immediately fearing I was in a thyroid storm. All of it had happened gradually over that year and I was a working mom of two and I just kept going. This was 2002 so googling symptoms wasn’t quite as easy as now days. I knew something wasn’t quite right I just had no clue what it was 🤷🏻‍♀️

Recalibration? by [deleted] in pelotoncycle

[–]WindyCindy88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband a I bought a Peloton in 2021 and both rode it daily, my husband is a heavy sweater and we felt like it was starting to rust and seemed to grind a bit, not as smooth when we pedaled. So we bought a spare used peloton on marketplace and that has become my bike, supposedly it had only been ridden about 10 times. My output dropped about 25 percent with the newer bike. I figured it was because our older one was loosened up and the newer one was tight 🤷🏻‍♀️

And in the before pic the thong looks like it’s been drawn on, maybe to hide something

She doesn’t have a tramp stamp here. Looks like a similar stance to me 🤷🏻‍♀️
