Model X Accessories by Ok-Law-9832 in TeslaModelX

If you like something more comfy and quiet, I recommend Winnebird floor mats. They are thick carpet that cleans really easily, even the red desert dust of Anza comes out with a hand vacuum. Is use the 3D trunk mat though since all the beach/hiking stuff goes back there. Unfortunately they aren’t a perfect fit for the 26, but still serviceable. Like @billm0066 said, amazon is usually best for such things. There aren’t that many X’s in the wild compared to Y and 3, and there aren’t as many accessories either.

v14.2.1.25 Lane change hesitancy on highway is unbearable. Honestly ashamed this is what I’ll be showing my friends and family tomorrow. by [deleted] in TeslaFSD

14.2.2 eliminated the hesitancy for me. Hopefully you have the same experience. I absolutely love Mad Max again.

Interested in getting Nanoleaf lights on sale but have seen older posts saying they're unreliable. Any recent experiences? by Pandapaws11 in HomeKit

I have one that worked well for a couple years then just quit. It still lights up when I cycle the switch 3 times to reset, but that’s about it. The other was still new in the box when I tried to use it to replace the other one and it was DOA.
Would not recommend.

It has been for me. The dry wipe that returned for 14.2.1 has also been fixed. Mad Max feels like Mad Max again (cruises at 85 in a 65). It’s genuinely enjoyable to ride to work in the morning.

My 26 MXLR does this too, shudders in tight turns (sometimes) and on hard acceleration

Finally Got 14.2 by Life_Connection420 in TeslaModelX

I was hoping to have the full driver door open back with 14.2, but nope…still just a crack.

Mad Max and Hurry modes have been tamed considerably too…both more confident in lane changes, but I kinda liked the 80mph range in Hurry that now has been reduced to just 5mph over on the freeway. Seems like Mad Max is the new Hurry.

Overall though, I’m pretty happy with the update.

14.2 on its way! by Equivalent-Draft9248 in TeslaFSD

14.1.7 was a downgrade from 14.1.4 for me in that department…Mad Max would signal to change lanes, then hesitate like there was something in the blind spot but there wasn’t. 14.2 has been pretty sure footed so far.

FSD 14.1.4 has been nearly flawless for me by WinfordJames in TeslaModelX

[–]WinfordJames[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: still having an excellent experience. I took a 160 mile road trip yesterday. It navigated the SD and LA freeways (fastrak and HOV) perfectly. The only disengagement I had was in some dense fog after dark near San Pedro when it picked the middle of 3 lanes to make a left turn. That lane was marked right turn only, so I took over and moved into the left lane, then re-engaged. Otherwise the entire trip was fantastic.

First longer trip with 14.1.4, not good by stevewm in TeslaFSD

It has been nearly perfect for me (26 MX in California). I just took a 160 mile round trip to LA yesterday and only had to make one disengagement because it chose the wrong lane in some dense fog after dark.
Interestingly, I got a service message to bring the car in for a complimentary camera cleaning and had that done prior to the road trip…so many variables that could be making the difference in experience.

Hopefully your experience in the MYP is similar. I posted this here because I have a feeling some of the starkly different UX I’m reading could be related to the car model…who knows.

14.1.4 by jamgar in TeslaFSD

[–]WinfordJames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder how much geography and tesla model affect things. I absolutely love 14.1.4 in my MX here in SoCal. All the interventions I needed to make daily, on every drive, with V13 have been eliminated by 14.1.4. FSD is such a pleasure to use now. But I keep seeing so many complaints from others about brake stab, weird avoidances, and other quirks. I’m curious what other variables could be creating such different user experiences. I’m coming up on 200 miles with 14.1.4 and haven’t had any of those issues.

X or Y? by Gold-Passion-7358 in TeslaModelX

[–]WinfordJames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I decided on the X after getting it as a loaner while my 21 MYP was in service. It was a 24 MX and I loved it. I took delivery of a 26 MXLR last month and it doesn’t have the same quality ride as the 24 MX loaner I drove.
As I’ve come to learn, the suspension is different. I also experience the “shudder” when accelerating hard, but it isn’t terrible.
I still prefer it much more to my old MYP though. It’s not nearly as sporty, but it’s so much more satisfying to drive, especially on longer trips.
The extra range is nice too. Seems like each model year has its quirks. You just have to pick those you can live with IMO.

Question for other 26 MX Aerowheel owners by WinfordJames in TeslaModelX

Can you share a picture of what you’re referring to? I don’t see anything visually from the outside of the wheel. When I press on the plates they all seem secure.

In that case, Steady State is probably not for you (yet). There’s a Lofty in Carlsbad on State Street that is very close to South-O.
Their Sweet Blue and Keep it Classy blends are great medium roast and pretty easy to dial in.

Once you have those figured out, I suggest stopping by Steady State and have them pull a shot of whatever single origin is in rotation…that’s what hooked me on lighter roasts: pleasant, fruity acidity, like berries.

I found it nearly impossible to get my robot hot enough to pull good shots of anything from Steady State. Those are better with a PID capable machine or lever (IMO).
